He makes good points regarding LeBron being a team player historian, but lacking the brute Killer instinct of a Kobe and Jordan. Good watch. Solid well put breakdown.

LeBron's killer insinct > Kobe's

Interesting that he brings up the point about size, and big guys not wanting to be behemoths and intimidate people. Where as the best guards ever have little man complex, so it makes them more ruthless as competitors on an individual level. Very intriguing stuff. Kind of a Batman and Superman type dichotomy amongst them.

People greatly overestimate the value of either smiling or making angry faces after plays.

Agreed. Odd but kinda understanding point. Although I tend to lean closer to the fact that LeBron also just doesn't want the blame for a potential big shot moment. Rather pass to a Mario Chalmers than shoot it himself.

Or passing to Udonis Haslem for a game winning jump shot, after just making 3 difficult jumpers yourself and having the hot hand. Passing off responsibility to much less capable players, even when it isn't the obvious or correct basketball play.

Really? Passing to UD for a game winning jumper has it's own category and that's what it's called....

Really?

That's the one thing I dislike about LeBron. He'd rather just pass off and should they lose because of it, not want to take the blame for it. MJ and Kobe would take the shot and had no issue taking the blame if they lost. Hell MJ only passed to Kerr in '97 against the Jazz because the Utah bigs clogged the paint and he got doubled. He had no choice but to pass the ball.

Do you not realize what you just said? You said he argues for the sake of arguing which literally means he doesn't actually care about the things hes arguing. You just proved him right. He doesn't take this website seriously like every bulls fans, lakers fans, and most dickriders do.

On topic: is killer instinct the only thing Kobe Stan's have left to grab onto when it comes to these comparisons? Killer instinct is the most overrated aspect of a basketball player. Should we praise Brandon Jennings and jr smith for their killer instincts?

secund2nun

Killer instinct is overrated. Why does no one give flack to one of the GOAT like Duncan for not make killer instinct faces while he plays? Why not for Magic? Jordan was just one player with his own style. And there is the vastly inferior knock off version in Kobe.

Oh he does care. Only that he doesn't let anyone know openly that he cares..

He mixes believable opinion with BS, so when he's arguing for the sake of arguing, I actually mean that he often deflects or jumps to other insults once someone calls him out. So he has shown he can start on a topic and make logical sense, then he just turns from calm and logical, to trolling and irrational opinions.

Because of killer instincts, kobe and jordan are the 2 most overachievers in history of this game. I dont think jordan is more talented than malone or robinson and much more for kobe. But this guys just have the will to win and thats the greatest indicator of being an alpha-the confidence to get what they want no matter what the circumstance are. And in this world, betas are always considered weak or losers and the moment lebron joined wade/bosh is the moment he exposes himself to the world that lack of confidence or being a beta. Thats why he will never get the respect no matter how many rings he wins coz beta are always considered losers.

The biggest problem with todays fans more than any other generation is the "selective memory" syndrome that's basically turned peeps into straight idiots. What makes it worse than any other generation before is that there's absolutely no excuse for it now, living in the information age, where any stat or fact that you want to find out about is literally at your finger tips.

We have phones now that actually double as PCs, yet peeps still insist on posting dumb sh!t constantly.

Dyson can be really good as long as he isn't talking about Tupac.

Not word-for-word, but I kid you not, he actually said this.

Haslem was WIDE open and is usually money from 10-15ft. Also, lets not forget that it was just a RS game against the Jazz. Pacers Game 1? Spurs Games 6 & 7?

The most forgotten aspect of that clutch shot was the plays leading up to the big shot. When I was watching that game, that shot just seemed bigger than what it is made out to be. Utah were in front with a minute to go, Jordan ices two clutch free throws to tie it, Stockton knocks down a 3 to take a 3 point lead, Jordan drives to the hole and scores on the layup, bulls down by 1 with less than 30 seconds to go, Jordan gets the steal, jordan eyes off russell crosses over and nails the winner.

The whole sequence was just insane and extremely clutch. While I rate the Allen 3 as equally clutch last year, Jordan's sequence was one of the clutchest ever.

So what about this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p5WUOnTxwPw

MJ misses this, the Cavs go on to play the Knicks, probably beating them, and then play Detroit for the Eastern crown. The Bulls probably have to rebuild, while the Cavs become the Pistons' main challenge in the East.

It's not the Finals, but it's probably the most important shot in Bulls franchise history. Miss and go home, and wonder if you'll ever be able to get past the best teams in your Conference. Hit it, and the momentum carries you further than your team was ever expected to go, making you the primary threat against Detroit during their short reign.

:oldlol:

It's not even close man.

I'd implore you to watch the final minute of the Jordan sequence. 2 free throws, a contested layup, a steal and the final game winner.

Epic.

This was against a team that were slight favourites over the Bulls.

You have become such a Lebron homer since he arrived Plowking :oldlol:

You used to be a full Wade homer, but now he's on the decline you have been flying the Bron flag

Game 7, the Heat were up by 2 in the last minute and Lebron knocks down a jumper and got a nice steal and rebound.

How does that compare to Jordan sequence in 98? It doesn't.

Nobody said that MJ wasn't clutch or that shot wasn't one of the greatest ever. Even if he missed the shot that game, he would've had a chance to redeem himself.

Sure, highest ppg in the history of elimination games and game 7's. Just came of a 37 point game 7 in the NBA finals.

Now go compare that to Kobe's numbers in elimination games.

Do we know this for sure?

I mean, Utah could of come out game 7 and shot lights out. The Bulls and Jordan may not have had another look in and we could be talking about what if Jordan made that shot in game 6.

Last year's finals should attest to that. Spurs left the door slightly open, Allen nailed the 3 and from there the momentum swung in Heat's favour. Something similar could of happened if Jordan missed.

After all, it was a game 6 and he nailed the shot that won the championship. Missed and it was going to a game 7 and at risk of no championship at all.
