No

Without a doubt jr smith is the best gaurd on the Knicks. Shumpert is the second best, then the felton/beno/prigioni

Jr should start, it would make him more efficient playing off ball and would make the Knicks a better team.

Woodson copying the way George Karl used him shows that the Knicks are wasting time with Woodson no matter what his regular season win % is

Phil Jackson would start jr and shumpert in the backcourt

JR is missing the key thing about coming off the bench vs starting, more chances to shoot the rock. Once he is in rhythm he can then blend in with the starters for the rest of the game.

You are missing the key thing- you don't want him guarded as a primary ball handler/scorer/ creator all the time. If he got the same defensive treatment as shumpert and hardaway you'd get a more efficient player. He'd still get shots; they'd just be better shots

Getting all around play out of a guy this talented? Or do you really want him back into a handling/creating role?

Now is when it should happen. Continue to start him. Playing jr and Carmelo together that extra 15 mins a game will pay off.

He needs to earn it. A couple of good games doesn't erase his immaturity that has cost the team. Every time he's trusted, he lets the team down. Time to grow up or sit down.

Jr plays starters minutes and usually is in at the end of games, and plays with the starters, so i really dont see the point of this.

It the extra 10-15 minutes that he isn't put in the 1st option role. If this team had a strong lead gaurd and jr could play the corner it would be ideal, but at the very least w Carmelo he isn't the only option out there

Three great starters for a triangle. And I think shumpert could become a 4th.

Is there anybody out there to coach the triangle if Phil won't?

I believe Pippen and Kerr know it well.

those two would be odd as hell to see on a Knicks bench, but if the team is winning i have no issues.

You don't think Phil Jackson and Kerr could find a role for jimmer do you?

A guard that can hit a shot from the wing is useful in any system.

J.R. ? Kerr?

Neither will be here when we get rolling. Right now, they shouldn't change a thing. Just keep winning to get the player's value higher.

The Knicks have too many 1 dimensional players already. The only way I can see adding Jimmer is if they dump some of the other useless baggage first.
