not htat i agree with that. but 16/6/1 as a 3rd/4th option isn't bad lol. ray allen i think took a lot of shots away from him when he came to miami. don't let the numbers be the only thing you look at. imaging kobe playing behind lebron and wade, he would probably do similar numbers, for his position.

that' being said kobe is still a top10 player in the league even tho people hate him.

Bosh on his own team would be putting up 20/10 easily. He's one of the most underrated players in the league.

ESPN has turned into nothing but a troll site, just trying to get clicks. I've given up on them.

There are plenty of other sites that give better sports information.

The ESPN rankings are ****ing retarded. They had Ricky Rubio in the top 50. They had him over players like Vucevic, Pekovic, Drummond, Asik, Gay, Parsons, Al Jefferson, David Lee, etc.

Of course. I think he can even do better. Bosh was a franchise player and MVP candidate before Miami. Wade was finals MVP and franchise player himself. Heats are stacked.

Just for clarification, I was purely commenting on Bosh's ranking. Bosh at #24 is as bad as Kobe at #25.

Thought I would throw this out there:

Kobe Bryant 16-23' - .402
CB3 16-23' -.494 (best in NBA by ANY player)

In a game where defenses increasingly try to push their opposition to shoot long 2s, a C has become the best mid range shooter in the NBA. He gets thumped because he is asked to play out of position for years at a time; But he is a major contributor and a uniquely talented player.

We'll see what Kobe comes back at. Considering the level of D he played last year... Well its going to be tough for him.

This is because kobe is an old guy coming back from a really bad injury. i would put him around 20th spot though. if he does come back even 90% then he will be in my top 10 but i would have to see it to believe it.
I think he will come back 70-75% of what he was last season.

That's the thing about Kobe's injury. Nobody knows. He could literally be anywhere from top 10 to not mentioned at all.

They didn't want to make the same mistake last year putting D. Rose in top 10 and Bynum in top 20 when both those guys didn't even play. Don't see what the big deal is with ranking Kobe #25 after an achilles injury?

It's not totally unfair. Saying that he's coming off of a 'really bad injury' is an understatement. It's one of the hardest injuries to come back to full strength from. Very few ever have.

He is legendary in being able to play through pain and injury, which might explain some of his low percentages at times. But, as of this day in October 2013, he hasn't done anything that can suggest that he will be anything better than mediocre at best. It's simply impossible to know how much his game will be affected. There is a good chance that he won't be anything close to his former self.

I hope he proves them wrong, but if you look at all the factors going against him, it's risky to assume that he can or will.

I am not surprised.

Taking defense into the account, Kobe's impact on the court was actually negative for the last few years. I would rather have about 20 other SGs starting for my team.

And that was before tearing the Achilles at the age of 35.

People need to understand this ranking is for the start of the season.

How can Kobe be in the top 5 if he is not going to playing for at least a month? :confusedshrug:

ya well bosh averaged 16/6/1 like i said originally

best case kobe will average 28/6/5

most likely kobe will average 25/5/5

worst case kobe will average 20/5/4 ( and retire after this season )

like stephen a smith said. he already did an interview saying he wouldnt stick around if he cant average 25ppg

that being said.. even worst case scenario.. kobe would out perform chris bosh

and hes also already running without limitations. and now starting his 3 week training program to get back in shape for game 1 of the regular season

its not like he isnt on schedule. he said he could play right now if it was the playoffs. meaning he will 100% be ready for the 1st game.

3 weeks is more than enough time to get his lungs and range of motion up to par

but like i asked before... will someone answer it please

if this were lebron or jordan. and they were 35 years old coming off a torn achilles. would they be ranked 25th that upcoming season after making 1st team all nba, averaging 27ppg on a highly efficient season?

no... because espn is the fox news of the sports world. jordan and lebron are republicans. and kobe is a al qaeda

And if it wasn't for Bosh (and Ray Allen) there wouldn't have been a Game 7 for the Heat, and your boy would be 1-3 in the Finals. You should be sucking Bosh dick as much as you do Lebron's.

How is Bosh not better? He's efficient as ****, spreads the floor and is one of the most versatile defenders in the league. Kobe's old and coming off an injury and forgot how to play D.
