It's a franchise that was languishing, and then he came, and had a magical run. It's remembered fondly (albeit people seem to forget they didn't win a title but i digress). He's also an all time great, and this is the team he is best known as. It's well deserved and appropriate IMO.

People don't pay attention to preseason much, me and you follow everything but a lot of people just watch games, don't follow the day to day. It's not a big deal but ideally you'd do it when the most eyes are on it since he is/was so important.

This game is not a good gauge but the only thing we can take from it is how good the Nets are defensively. They haven't allowed any open shots by the Heat and have really clamped down on LeBron. Very, very good defense by the Nets so far.

I think Plumlee takes Blatche's minutes. As much as he played well last year, he freelances all the time. Freelancing is good when you are not trying for a title. When you are, it's better to have someone who plays their role well.

LBJ played a lot but at half speed. I'm a bit dissapointed he opened his mouth, then proceeded to not try. What was the point of that? Get it out of the way?

And I think a problem with Teletovic is he doesn't trust his shot. He catches, then moves and sets, then shoots. I didn't watch him in Europe but i think he's better catch and shoot?

Hard to take much out of this with no:

D.Will, AK, Terry, Toko, Taylor and KG only playing 10 minutes
or
Wade, Allen, Beasley, Andersen, Haslem, Lewis

but I did take away the following:
-Plumlee is awesome
-Teletovic can play the 3, he just can't hit his shots 3/4 nights
-JJ + AA have looked really good this preseason

As for Miami
-Bosh looked good on offense on defense
-Maybe they will try in game 2 of the regular season

Plumlee only had an effective game because the Heat's second/third string front court players are awful, small and weak. He's very raw and can only rebound and put back very few dunks. He's got so many good passes and rebounds that resulted in him missing the layup or getting stripped of the ball. He is a workaholic though. It must be that duke type intensity. He runs the floor well, dives for loose balls and goes after every rebound.

Bosh was good on defense but that was because brook was being so soft on offense. Yeah, he led our team in scoring but specifically against bosh i want to see brook get ALL the way down in the post and obliterate bosh. he couldn't even post bosh up even after adding 15 lbs of weight? we're going to need brook to get bosh in foul trouble.

Just Bosh? Brook NEVER gets close post position on any center.. His post position is being 8 feet away from the basket. He's a very talented scorer, don't get me wrong but opposing bigs are never in foul trouble and we need them to be especially when we go up against the Heat, Bulls or Pacers.

Exactly I don't understand why people call him a post player. He's probably the best interior scorer in the NBA, but that's because of his variety of ways to score when CUTTING to the rim. He's at his best running the pick and roll, coming off of cross-screens or just general cutting to the rim.
