Is this real life? Their rankings are obviously meaningless, but this is incredibly disrespectful.

He hasn't been the same player. I don't think it's that outrageous.

Are you surprised?

This is the same ESPN that led the "MIAMI CAVALIERS!" cries all throughout the playoffs last year

There are 17 players in the league better than Wade?

As I said in the Kobe thread, the ESPN rankings are beyond retarded.

He's gotten fewer touches. Unless you're judging him based on the playoffs when he wasn't healthy, in which case it's understandable (same with Kobe, Westbrook etc.). He got that OssaTron procedure he had before 08-09 again and has shed some weight, so he should be set to dominate. :pimp:

Good. Hopefully he can pick it back up, watching him the last couple months and the playoffs was cringeworthy.

Wade 18th?

:lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol

And the downplaying of LeBrons teammates continues.

But don't worry, anytime Wade plays well just remember, it's all because LeBron made him better. And 2006, when Wade was bossing it up and carrying a team with LeBrons ass at home crying like a bitch, yeah that never happened either.

Was it cringeworthy when he stepped it up in the Finals?

How did you feel about Lebrons performances after you had 'officially given up on him'? You know after he started choking.. again

How did I feel? I was ****in pissed, obviously. Then he showed why he is the best player in the world and should never be doubted. I learned my lesson. Don't doubt the King.

Miami best lineup in the finals was:

Andersen
James
Miller
Allen

Wade's got something to prove this year... He's about to go ham on the league...

^^ Yep.

Wade and Kobe will make ESPN look quite foolish by season's end. Both have something to prove and that spells trouble for the rest of the league.

Both Wade and Kobe will make these rankings look like a joke. I doubt ESPN even believe it. They're Judy going for controversy

ESPN does this on purpose. If they can troll a player like Kobe or Wade into playing their best basketball then they win. If Kobe or Wade fail then they can say they called it. Skip Bayless does this a lot. He trashes Lebron and if Lebron kills it he says, "See what Lebron can do? I was right to criticize him because he had it in him all along." If Lebron fails Skip just says he was right all along.

Think about this:

If they hadn't put Wade @ 18 and Kobe @ 25 we wouldn't be talking about this shitty list because hardcore fans know that they have little credibility.

Kobes injured and wade can barely dunk the ball.

Its not 2009 anymore, folks.

18 is bad but wade is barely a top 10 player.
His knees only lasted him 10 yrs sadly. He'll have his moments where scores 30+ but as far as seeing wade the top 5 player. Sorry to say this but it will never happen.
More carrying for LeBron this yr

Kobe & Wade definitely will shut critics up this season; keep pouring gasoline on the fire ESPN. :oldlol:
I'd rank Wade somewhere around 8-12th spot right now.

Reading this topic one would think you didnt all see Wade put up like 13ppg vs the Bulls and play Kendall Gill level ball most of the playoffs.

Hes better in theory than #18. His most recent play? Eh.

Gotta see how he comes back.

If he looks like the wade of most of last year...hes top 15..if he looks like Wade 2-5 years ago hes top 5. If he looks like the Wade we just saw....18 is probably generous.

I know he was hurt..but it is what it is.

Healthy hes top 10. But as you get older that "When healthy" means less and less.

Wait and see. If he gets back to form they look like idiots. I hope he does. I hate when a guy is just a star by name but has those star expectations that makes watching them a letdown.

In 2010 Miami had 2 top 3 players and one top 10 player.

Now Miami has one top 1 player and two borderline top 20.

Expecting Wade to be a top 5-10 player this season. 18 is severely underrating him.

Awful list. Kevin Love is gonna be atleast a top 15 player :oldlol:

Healthy Wade will be top 10 atleast

Love is not better than Wade, LMA, Dirk, Kobe, or even Horford. The guy is disappointing every single year because of his stat padding.. people need to realize he is not elite

Duncan is listed at #16. While that seems like a normal spot for a 37 year old, he is below Griffin, Love, and Gasol. :facepalm

He still shits on nearly every big man in the league.

I haven't looked at the actual list. do they show the players score in the ranking?

ESPN writer who follows the Lakers explained how the players were ranked.

Each writer for ESPN was asked to rank the players on a scale of 1-10, 10 being best. then they totaled the scores and averaged them out. so Wade could be ranked 18th but could also be 1 or 2 points away from being number 6...

To me, I'd like to see the actual breakdown of the numbers

Reading this its clear you Didnt watch the NBA Finals

Wade in his last game played had 23,10
had two double doubles in the Finals
Had a 32,6,4 with 6 steals game
was second in points,steals,assists,blocks

He avg

19.6,4.6,4 with 1.9 steals and 1.3 blocks on 47.6% in 36.4 min

avg out
thats

20,5,4 with 2 steals and 1 block on 48% in 36 min as a 2nd option

How is that bad

He didnt Harden the finals and he fidnt shoot as bad as
D Rose

He played good and he was injured
and yet had
20,5,4

How is that Bad

If Wade is healthy and consistent he will easily be a top 10 player. But health is part of the equation, without a doubt.

Duncan showed some signs of '03 last season. While an argument could be made he should be ranked lower, I still believe he is a better player than Griffin, Love, and more of those overrated PF's. I'd take Aldridge over those guys too.
