I see a lot of anger, frustration, jelly, insecurity and madness among the Clipper organization and fans towards the Lakers and their fans.
In recent news of this frustration and jealousy, Clippers coach Doc Rivers has decided to cover up the Lakers championship banner and retired numbers during Clipper home games, or should I say Clipper rent-a-home games, in an arena that Kobe built.

Why wouldn't they cover up all the banners and retired jerseys? They share the arena and I'm sure the players look at the long history of division, conference, and league titles, along with all the retired jerseys and it probably bothers the shit out of them to see that on their home court.

I would say they have better potential right now, as demonstrated last season they didn't achieve much with it..

BTW i'm a Celtics fan and we went out in the same round as LAC but we were a terrible team last season similar caliber to the Lakers. Low seeded team that was out classed in the playoffs.

Agree but it is not surprising that they would want to cover up banners. The Jets/Giants share a building and have been covering up the other team's posters since they moved into MetLife. No reason why Lakers banners should be displayed during a Clipper game.

Even if the carl's jr business is in a mcdonald's building, doesnt mean the carls jr have to advertise for mcdonald in their resturant. As long as rent is paid, they can use the area however they want. However the situation you mentioned is wrong.
The situation is more like both Carls JR and Mcdonald pay rent in the same plaza. You can say that the landlord of the plaza has a minority stake in the Mcdonald, but that still doesn't mean Mcdonald controls the plaza.

This is a non story. But lets get some facts out there
AEG owns 30% of the Lakers
AEG owns Staples, the Lakers themselves own about 20% of Staples, they do not pay rent. In lieu of rent the Lakers and AEG struck a deal when Staples was built where %s of ownership stakes were traded. In essence the Lakers are the Clippers landlords.
The Clippers had to get permission from the AEG/Lakers to cover up the banners.
All that being said I see no problem with it at all and wonder what took so long? When a business rents a commercial building they are allowed to put up their signage

I am a Lakers fan and this is not jealousy to me.They are trying to let their fans know that this is their house as well.
It is a franchise coach who has to instill a different psychological hold on his players. He s instilling a whole new way of thinking into them.
If it happens to make the news and make it look like they are disrespecting the other guy in the process, I am sure they are cool in doing so.
The Clippers have had the talent to be the so called better team for 2 years and now going on the third and have not had great results. They did the next step. Getting a coach who is supposed to get you there. The problem is that Thibs ran his defense that won that championship and I have to wait and see if who is running the clips D can get that area done for them. I have not seen the Clips run great D. They have been about outscoring and highlight reels.
If anyone can get them on that right mentality Rivers can, but making them play high level of D will be interesting.
While us Lakers are in rebuld ( Just TANK BABY!! ) mode the clips are in we better win now as they are on the clock. t's supposed to be their time to shine and step up.
In any case they are fun as hell to watch. Especially when them and the Warriors go at it.

Clippers got two superstars in there primes, a host of great role players and a great coach. The fakers got choke cryant who is on his way to senior land, Gasol who dont want to take a paycut so he'll be gone next season, a terrible coach and a terrible team.

Well, if he features DJ in the post for the a handfull of possessions a game that might do it too. DJ is fluid down there. he just needs a counter move and someone that will give him confidence by calling the play (might have to be CP3). And that will make him focus for a full 48 too. He likes to forget he's playing for a couple mins a game

Doc is focusing most of his energy on Defense. Alvin Gentry is in charge of the Clippers offense.
