I dont care for it on grilled foods, like burgers or sausage etc, altho a moderate amount gives an acceptable addition of zing to a ham or turkey sandwhich.

Disagree. MAYO is the absolute worst. Yet people just f*ckin devour it.

Nothing worse than going to a restaurant, ordering a big delicious burger, biting into it and finding out that the place puts mayo on their burgers by default. I shouldn't have to ASK to not have that shit on my burger. Ketchup comes on the side, but mayo is on there by default? Unamerican.

I don't care for mayo either, but it tops mustard easily.

Depends on the type. I have some German mustard that is out of this world. Seriously you could eat it straight from the jar. I'm not a fan of American (yellow) or English mustard. To me mustard is not something that should be slathered all over, it should be used sparingly.

Nonsense.

However, don't go for the watered down yellow crap that Kizzle is probably eating. Go for the brown deli style mustard

I'm not a fan of any yellow mustard and that's why I love sweet mustard: you can slather it all over and it'll be GOOD. Well, I guess the taste is so different it shouldn't even be considered in the same category, except for the mustard component.

For me
Mayo is for turkey, chicken (sandwiches only) or roast beef. BLTs too.

Mustard is for hot dogs, salami, ham. And burgers when I try to avoid sugar.

Mayo is the shit too! I used to love me some Mayo sandwiches growing up.

Currently have five kinds of mustard in the house. Nathan's, Grey Poupon, Kosciusko, Trader Joes, and this stuff I picked up a Polish Butcher

It's impossible for mustard to be overrated. It has the most variety out of any condiment. There's sweet, spicy, tangy, totally ground, seeds, weird hybrids, expensive and cheap.

Ketchup, Mayo, etc. are pretty one note.
I'm talking about good ole yellow mustard.

Not these sweet mustard and honey mustard and mustard gas, ect.

Yeah, America yellow mustard sucks. It's a watered down flavorless imitation of the real stuff.

(English or Chinese yellow mustard will tear your head off, though)

now this is ****ed. But standard mayo is def the worst. Up here, they have a thing called fry sauce, which is mayo and ketchup mixed, sometimes with pickle juice.

I will say an actual fresh made aioli is ****ing delicious.

i like honey mustard :[
This is the only kind I will tolerate. Mustard doesn't even have a meaningful taste to it. It's not sweet, bitter, sour, or anything I can think of.

Mayo is good only in certain conditions. I do agree with BLow that putting it on burger is odd. Mayo on turkey/roast beef cold cuts is great imo. There's a great mayo shrimp dish that I love.

There are very few foods that are good in all circumstances. The fact that Mayo and Mustard have certain applications that need them, indicate there greatness. Is Lebron overrated as a basketball player just because he is useless during heart surgery?

I merely agreed that it was overrated in the circumstances in which some people put mayo on everything. I never said it wasn't good.

Also France isn't communist you dipshit.

I can't stand mustard, especially honey mustard. Maybe it's because I didn't grow up eating it but I just find it absolutely horrible. I've given food away because it had mustard on it. If I ever taste it, it's all I can taste for the rest of the day.
