View Full Version : Why are Oreos so good?

Myth

These seriously are the GOAT store bought cookies. Not only that, but there are many different types that are pretty much all delicious. Yes, I already shared this in the NBA forum, but felt that Off Court Loungers should feel left out.

Some of my favorites:
Oreos
Double Stuf Oreos
Peanut Butter Oreos
Chocolate Oreos
Fudge Sundae Oreos
Oreo Fudgees
Oreo Fudge Rings
Mini Oreos
Watermelon Oreos
F*ck you Budadiiii
Simply amazing. I didn't even count the cakesters and ice cream variations.

they spike your blood sugar in advance of other little debbie-type crap, and you find yourself hooked by the glycogen spike.

isn't it time you pondered why you eat what you eat...?

It's the perfect balance of cookie and cream. Double stuff is an abomination. Just like most of the other Oreo variants. Mint was cool at first and tastes good if u hadnt had one in a long ass time. But nothing. Nothing. Nothing ****s with the original

Because they have chemicals in them deliberately made to be as addictive as possible. I was told this by someone who was specifically hired by food companies to find the ideal compounds for this sort of thing. Oreos were the example he gave, but no doubt it is true of many foods.

I shall try this. I like candy in the freezer (Kit Kats, Reeses Peanut Butter Cups, etc), so this could be good.

Here's a little bit of helpful advice take your ketchup, sour cream, and mustard and empty each of them in a separate bowl. Take the bowls and place them in your freezer. You now have a delicious, unlikely dessert. It works wonderfully.

For around 2 or 3 cookies the nutritional values is around 180 calories and something like 30 carbs... Of course it's going to be ****ing delicious

For me to put a dent in my craving I have to eat around 8 of them dipped in milk. That's why I don't even bother with them.

Oreo has 2 new flavors:
Cookie Dough
Marshmallow Crispy

Cookie Dough is a giant disappointment. How do you mess this up? It doesn't taste like cookie dough, it is closer to a mocha flavor.

Marshmallow Crispy = Hugely pleasant surprise. Has a picture of a rice crispy treat and that is very accurate to the taste.

I dont really like oreos by themselves.

But if i dip them in milk and get them alittle soggy (not too soggy) they are amazing.

Oh man its a completely different experience.
I dislike them by themselves, but with milk its completely different.

Can you imagine mash potatoes without gravy?
Fries without ketchup?
Plain hotdogs?

You have to try them with milk. Dip them in milk for like 3 seconds and eat them with a sip of milk. The icing and cookie kind of melt and its amazing.
The icing is overly sweet and the cookie compliments it.

.

Lol what's funny is I lived most of my life strictly eating mashed potatoes no gravy, fries with no ketchup (didn't even start eating ketchup until like 2-3 years ago), and still only eat plain hotdogs. It's funny those are the three you mentioned. Guess I'm weird like that.

I only started using salad dressing like last year.

I still prefer my mashed potatoes without being drowned in gravy but a little def can taste pretty good. I hate relish and mustard and ketchup is wack on hot dogs. I'll rock some diced onions though

I always eat my fries without ketchup, and some mashed potatoes taste great without gravy as long as they are prepared properly. Plain hotdogs are boring, but I can tolerate them more than a plain Oreo. The point is I simply flat-out dislike Oreos on their own and am not sure how milk would magically transform that. Not saying you're wrong though.

Onions with hotdogs arent plain :lol

Chicago style hotdogs can be really good.

I find mash potatoes need gravy, and I suppose if they are really good fries, being plain is ok.

the cookie part is a little bitter/tasteless and the icing is far too sweet.

Milk helps it dissolve and melt together. It changes the texture and taste greatly.

But yeah, oreos and milk were meant for each other.

I stay away from oreos though, it's impossible to eat them in moderation.

Kind of unfair since these have ice cream but they literally SH1T on Oreos. 10x more delicious than an oreo, I kid you not. They are expensive as fcuk though for how much you get but its worth it to get em once.

Step 1: Remove oreo cream into a bowl
Step 2: Microwave
Step 3: Find something to dip in cream (I recommend strawberries, but even using the oreo cookie itself is good)
Step 4: Enjoy
