The way this team is passing the ball is gonna look good both in preseason and regular season. It doesn't matter.

Ah you little boys. It's not about beating the Heat in the pre-season or the regular season. It's about beating them 4x in 7.

Worst comparison ever.

No it's not..pre-season means NOTHING..It never has. Anybody who takes who wins this games seriously is foolish. These games are all about getting to know what the best rotation is for the coaches and to get new players to gel in a new system...bragging about who wins these games is quite laughable really. Yeah how players do is good and gives you an idea of how they will do this year but even then thats not a good guide as guys have played great in pre-season only to look like crap when the real games start.

Nets will be pretty damn good but I don't need to see meaningless pre-season games to realise that.

this particular game doesnt mean much.. but this is the deepest team ive ever seen top to bottom just super stacked. Talent wise, defensive/toughness wise, big men small men shooters rebounders stars.. got a little bit of everything.

The Nets have looked sharp, but pre-season games are basically an officiated practice. It's all about getting in some work and staying healthy.

Biggest problem with the Nets will be deciding if they are going to give Alan Anderson any playing time. He was told he was just an insurance policy but dude needs playing time because he's a beast.

He's earning it. He's capable of shooting 40% from behind the arc for a full season since he's done it before so I don't see any reason for the nets to waive him.

he's not getting waived. the problem is that he is going to ride the bench and i want him to get 10-15 minutes a game, but that will not happen. the nets are so deep that he's our third string SG/PG.

People are missing a very important point here.

Last year, Miami beat the Nets 3 straight times, all rather easily.
This preseason they beat them twice, by about 50 points total, easier than any other opponent.

Game 1 the Heat played LBJ, Bosh and Chalmers the three most minutes in the game (more than any Net) but did not play Oden, Beasley, Wade, Andersen, Allen, Lewis but the Nets did not play D.Williams, AK, Terry, Toko, T.Taylor and more importantly, and as even All Net pointed out..the importance of preseason is new teams coming together and this was one of the Nets first games together.

Game 2 no LBJ or Bosh but everyone other than Oden was back for Miami. Spo had Chalmers, Wade, Allen, Battier, Haslem in midway through the third in a 20 point game.
D.Williams played his first game. All 10 minutes. Garnett, AK, Toko all out.

Whether they should our should not, the Nets have gained confidence that they can play with Miami, when they had none 6 months ago. That is the point of any Net fan enjoying and promoting this game. It actually had some meaning to the Nets, much less to the Heat, but at the Heat now realize there is another potential test in the playoffs.

Considering Nets destroyed defending champions twice in one week, it means something, dont you think? :lol

Sure its preseason, neither team played at full strength, nonetheless Nets are sending the message, and it should be a fun season.

No it really doesn't.

You don't send messages in pre season. That goes for any team...who wins these games are meaningless. always have been always will be.

However the way nets have come together so early is a great sign heading into the season.the chemistry is there and so is the ball movement.

Nets should have belief in themselves anyway..they don't need pre season wins to believe they can go far.

Nets have belief because they are better. Miami fears them more because they are better. These games mean nothing. If Miami doesn't consider the Nets a bigger threat that would be illogical because the Nets are a much bigger threat, but these games mean absolutely nothing. Lebron was moving in that first game like he was carrying Wade and Bosh on his back literally, not figuratively like he usually is.

Preseason outcomes mean nothing.

Every damn season Heat haters talk like this. Before it was that this or that team beat Miami in the regular season and therefore they would shit on Miami in the playoffs. Chicago, NY, Boston, OKC etc etc.. All of those teams were suppose to beat Miami in playoffs because they did so in the regular season.
Now we're going back all the way to the pre season? Without Lebron too? Sure, might as well give the Nets the trophy now.

The outcomes mean nothing, but the games meant something for the Nets. The Nets probably expected to lose both games (fans did before game 1), but they handled the Heat defense with ease and they imposed their D on the Heat. Whether or not that can do that in the regular season or post season, is another story, but no matter how you slice it, it was a confidence booster for the Nets... while admittedly meaning very little to the Heat.
