I swear the dude shoots nothing but free throws to get 40. It is so lame to watch. For a guy with a pretty great scoring arsenal, he sucks at showing it.
I like KD, but damn. I can't watch OKC games. They're a joke. It's usually just a free throw shooting contest.

He does have a good number of unimpressive points. But its effective. I cant say he should stop....I just dont need to watch him do it for the most part. He has it in him to make great plays but his big games are too often touch foul free throws for me to want to watch it.

Kevin Durant, while taking nothing from the fact that he is a great player, has one of the least aesthetically pleasing games. Awkward, Jenky, weird. He Never looks good.

(Except for the occasional pull up three.)

Because a nearly 7 feet tall man trying to dribble and make quik maneuvers looks awkward. He is amazing at it for his height but it will always looks awkward. There's a reason gymnasts are really short; at their height they can make really movements look real crisp.

Then they're playing his highlights from the game with his stat line on the bottom of the screen... It was like 22FT points... I was like wow that's weak.

Good for his team, but boring as hell to watch.

I think Durant is one of those guys who could average 20 ppg on 0 fieldgoal attempts... :P

I love Durant though, always watch him play but yea i guess its more exciting to see FG's rather than FT's, especially for Durant as he has a great scoring arsenal/ability to observe, not saying he should abandon that or something lol, its all about to win at the end of the day.

He is one of the most ref protected players in nba history. A jump shooter does not earn that many FTs. He is gifted a lot of those FTs.

If the NBA cared about its brand at all they wouldn't let guys like Durant get 20 free throw games. You want big games to be special. You want people to talk about a 40 point game. No one talks about a game unless a guy drops at least 50. It's too easy to get 30-40 points with the way some games are called.

But its not like others can draw fouls / get those calls like KD, not at that magnitude.... not even Lebron, i mean KD shoots around 90% there and has figured out how to exploit/draw those calls extremly efficiently probably better than anybody today, he has every reason to take advantage of that as much as possible.... ofcourse its more entertaining to see him dismantle with FGs instead more, but you gotta do whatever necessary to win, FTs is a much more efficient basket afterall, he is doing the right thing...

It's not the fact that he tries to earn FTAs. Who cares about that? It's that for whatever reason, officials give him calls that they don't give any other player in the league at the same rate. Every player gets ridiculous calls from time to time, but the amount Durant gets is just annoying to watch. There's no fun in watching this guy butterfinger the ball and hearing the whistle blow when nobody touched him.

He's just officiated way too softly.

I think everyone wants to see this. OKC can win a lot of games with Durant just chucking. They won't win a title playing that way, but I would like to watch it.

In fairness to Durant he really mastered his moves. But The referees in the NBA playoffs won't fall for the same BS. Expect his Free throws to go down in the post season.

KD is a great scorer without the rip through moves. Most of his points against he Jazz in the 4th quarter came from the free throw line.

He'd be top ten if he retired by today, so he's a legit GOAT candidate to me, not meaning he'll certainly be #1 by the end of his career. He flops, admittingly and no other of those guys,who during their career were called GOATs or GOAT candidates did that. Maybe Kobe's arm flailing, but that's about it. Never have I seen somebody going down to the floor like superman being struck by an kryptonite bullit, as James did in that Bulls game. That will always stick in my mind.

Why should I troll? I don't like Lebron, Kobe or any team in particular. I do like Durant, but I don't feel the need to defend him. He draws a rediculous amount of FTs in quite some games, but he is also capable of scoring without them; as is Lebron, Kobe or any other scoring threat.
