Brook Lopez

vs.

Arron Afflalo

Doubt KG will play a lot of minutes.

Looking to see how Deron does now that he should be off the Minutes restriction. Afflalo is on fire these past 2 games, and if it wasn't for Loves 3, Magic could have had 2 wins by now.

We've only played two games. We beat the best team in transition and the most athletic team, the Heat and lost by four against the shitty cavs.

The Heat are more fast paced than the Cavs, but the Cavs are younger. Youth doesn't really add anything to the game that's beneficial. And they showed against the Heat that they can handle fast paced and athletic teams from what we have seen.

If Garnett was younger he could play 45 minutes a game. Youth helps

That's just 15 extra minutes of bad shots, turnovers and defensive mistakes that young players are prone to making.

If the nets were a younger team with the same players they'd be almost a lock for a title. This thought that the fact the Nets being older as a strength is asinine. Experience is good, age is not

Being older is a strength for this current team but of course the Nets would be a dynasty if our starters were five years younger. Our old age is a strength because it allows everyone to put their egos aside and just win. I don't know if a 30 year old Paul Pierce or a 26 year old Joe Johnson would do that. Age has it's downsides as well but for now, it's obviously better, until someone goes down with an injury.

Anyways, let's focus on this game rather than Knicks fans hating on our championship team.

I'm not hating, you people are just uber sensitive. Garnett and Pierce being on the downside of their career is not a positive. Older players get hurt easier as well, that's the purpose of limiting their minutes.

You're really just absolutely ridiculous if you think me saying age is bad is hating. You really should make a Nets only board if you want to discuss how Garnett having 2 years left in his career is somehow a huge positive.

I'm just saying it's not a big deal. We know they're old, heck half the reason we got them was because they're veterans. It's not like these guys are gonn magically drop off. I'd rather have experience, leadership and understanding of the game than youth and athleticism.

The team isn't making a concerted effort to feed in the low post early on.
He was second in the League last year in first quarter scoring only behind Carmelo Anthony.
Brook's gotta get better at passing out of double teams. If he can't be stopped on the block (which is usually the case if he's guarded one on one), our plethora of shooters will make teams pay for doubling him.

He's not a very good isolation post player. Only has like two moves, goes up weak, can't pass out of double teams, doors a bad job of getting position etc.

deron williams had 7 asst with the 2 hall of famers that gave rondo his assist #s

Thats because Deron is actually useful off the ball, so he doesnt have to pound it for 40/48 minutes like Rondos shot bricking ass.

Put healthy D-Will on those Celtic teams from 2008-2012, and they sure as hell don't disappoint by only winning one title with a stacked roster (they'd win at least two, probably three).
So go worry about your own terrible tanking team and troll somewhere else.

They don't win shit with KG injured in 2009 and hobbled in 2010. They'd have the same amount of titles as they ended up with, they were too old by 2011 and were never healthy anymore.

They'd absolutely win in 2010 because they came so close to winning, and if they had D-Will who has a greater offensive impact then Rondo outside of stat padded assists, they would win that game 7, maybe even close out it out in 6.
2011 they came close as hell to, so the point still remains.

If KG is gonna shoot 27 percent from the field every night and brick every open jumper off the PnR Deron will be lucky to even average that.

 Deron could not do what Rondo did against Cleveland.

Rondo won them Game 2 of the Finals in 2010 with a triple double, he would have been Finals MVP if the Celtics won more than likely. Not to mention Rondo's 29/18/13 performance in Game 4 against the Cavs is what even put them in a position to get to the Finals. Rondo was flat out brilliant that post season, easily the Celtics best player in the Playoffs.

In 2011 they lost in 5 games to the Heat in the 2nd round, how is that close? They weren't winning shit that year with their entire front line running on fumes.

Did you even watch the Celtics during those years? they reason they lost was because they had no one in the post. A fvcking change in the PG would't have done shit.

Shit Rondo gets mad disrespect here, the guy puts up good numbers without the big 3, another PG can't put similar numbers with 2 of them and he still can't be recognized as the better pure PG? :facepalm

Rondo is a better play maker than dwill.. Dwill is more well rounded offensively because of his scoring and shooting. Rondo evens it out with better D and rebounding.

Can't judge dwill off 3 games.. 2 of which he was on minutes restriction and another where KG, the HOF er, shot like straight shit when he was setup perfectly all game long.

Literally every drive, 2 goal tends its ridiculous, touch fouls on AK but everytime he drives theres no call. Someone needs to seriously investigate this game, this is some 2012 Finals level shit.

i'm sayin right, stern making the sizers win the other night wasn't enough?!?!?! for him to rig a game for the earth shaking magic team is unacceptable

Been a weird start to the season. Fair few upsets.

Sixers over Heat
Sixers over Bulls
Lakers over Clippers
Magic over Nets

Nets will be fine, losing is useful to them if anything. Give me ten more losses in a row and then we can talk.
