I believe only the ones who are partnered make money depending upon how much activity each video gets (views,likes,comments). The money is generated on ad views and calculated by where each view originates.

I heard about the partners making money based on views.

and how some channels get more from youtube if they make content the like.

I heard the really big youtubers could make millions in a year.

I was just wondering if anyone knew what they made.
