The four-time MVP, James joins Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (with streaks of 787 and 508 games), Michael Jordan (866), Karl Malone (575) and Moses Malone (526) as the only players to accomplish the feat.
Stats for tonight vs my Raptors: 35-8-8 13/20 from the field.

Its nice playing with prime Shaq on your team taking away the defensive pressure.

Wanna see what 23 year old Wade did with Shaq on his team in the finals? Not even prime Shaq for that matter. :oldlol:

And even based on those numbers you posted... Lebron>Kobe.

Says Kobe scores 26ppg because Shaq gets all the defensive pressure.....Kobe then has NBA season dropping 35ppg....guess Kwame Brown took up dat defensive pressure too right?

Then talks about Wade vs the same Mavs team Kobe dropped 63pts on in 3 quarters with prime Kwame Brown in the middle. Lol.

You can really tell who watched those Lakers and who didn't. Shaq being doubled helped guys like Horry and Fisher....Not Kobe, no one was constantly leaving Kobe open to double Shaq. Shaq was mostly being doubled by Samaki Walkers man or Fox's man. (PF's and SF's).

Plus, this statement has become worthless seeing as Kobe scored more without Shaq on his team.

I mean are you guys seriously this retarded?

Magic 32 is a shit house poster. Don't bother replying to me, because my comments are in jest of his. :oldlol:

And yes, everyone is left open depending on rotation. KD is left open for 3's all day long while Westbrook drives. Ray Allen and Lebron are left open all day long at times on the Heat team.
Its the way basketball works. Sometimes you leave a good player to stop a bad one scoring.

Lebron's numbers you posted there (which are the 2013 finals numbers, not 2012 finals) are better despite Kobe having prime Shaq taking up all of the attention. Also Lebron had 11 rpg, not 10. Stop lying. Also to make it even worse Lebron faced a much better team than Kobe did in the finals that year.

What is sad is that was the best finals performance of Kobe's 7 appearances and it isn't even that good. Lebron 2012 finals numbers of 29-10-7 rapes any Kobe finals performance by miles.

The long game streaks of 10+ shows longevity and good play.

Though only 10 points is really arbitrary.
If they did 20 points, bet that stat and those long game runs look totally different for everybody.

500 games for someone that avg nearly 27 pts per game
and only having to put up 10,thats like a little over 40% of his usual,
same with Jordan,Karl.

500+ game 10pt streak is great but it's like ESPN and the media is really going overboard with extremely arbitrary stats.

Its like when they mention LeBron is first ever to get 35,8,8 on over 55% shooting in decades or
Kobe has gotten over 12 ast in 5 games straight on 50% shooting or Curry is avg 4 3pt makes or
when Love gets 30,12 oh first to do in oh so many years, its like come on.

First player to get 42 on 9 fga with 4 rbs and 3 ast
or 38,4,5 oor ssomething extremely arbitrary.

But anyways,500+ games,quite an achievement.

Psileas

It took 5 pages in order to find a couple of good posts.

A very large 10+ point scoring streak is mostly a testament to a player's durability, consistency and luck more than his ability to score in big volumes. Kareem's enormous streak of 787 came at the ages of 31-40+, so this is mostly a slightly/definitely past prime Kareem who did this. But the man was able to keep the streak running even in his 18th season, at the age of 39-40, despite that his average of 17.5 ppg usually warrants a few single scoring games. He was amazingly consistent, although, during some bad night, he would at times play and shoot just as much as it was needed to hit 10 and keep the streak alive.
On the other hand, you have Wilt who was having all those huge scoring outbursts, but his bad luck (and sometimes, temperament) kept him from achieving such a streak (injured early in 1960, ejected in 1963, injured in 1965, didn't care to shoot in 1968, then changed role).
