His rookie season was by far his best. His numbers have been declining consistently and he's only 24.

For comparison's sake, here are the rookie numbers of other similar players (all of them rookie of the year as well):

Tyreke Evans:
20.1 ppg 5.3 rpg 5.8 apg

Grant Hill
19.9 ppg 6.4 rpg 5.0 apg

LeBron James
20.9 ppg 5.5 rpg 5.9 apg

Kevin Durant
20.3 ppg 4.4 rpg 2.4 apg

Foot problems combined with a low BB IQ. Everyone knows what he is going to do every time he gets the ball. Easy to defend.

He's actually been shooting a lot of jumpers so far this year, and hes made a good amount of him. I dont think hes made a single drive to the basket this year out of like 20 so far.

And he has been clearly frustated with his role in Monty's shit offense. But I have been impressed with his passing/defense.

That's what he does when he is having foot/ankle problems. The problem with that is that he can't shoot.

So you like 3 for 10? Stats are at the top of the thread.

You are stupid as ****. I clearly stated he has struggled finishing at the basket so far. He has been making his jumpers at a respectable percentage. :facepalm

Oh and thanks for pointing out the stats. He's averaging 6 AST per 36. Thats impressive as hell because we have scrubs on our 2nd unit.

His scoring has definitely been a dissappointment, but both of his passing and defense have been very good. If he can become comofortable with his role he will be a beast off the bench.

Has he found a position yet? What does he even play for the Peli's? The guy somehow went from a franchise PG, to a SG, to a SF.

Poor Tyreke. i wonder how can he revive his career

Lol @ dude trying to defend Tryeke. You happy your management paid 11 million per for above average passing and defense?
Could have gotten a "3 and D" guy for significantly less.
Moves like these cause superstars (Anthony Davis) to leave small market teams.

He's never been good.

His play style in his rookie season was way to physcial to make a career out of it. He can easily average 16 but it would take a tremendous toll on his body.

He left school too early.

6th man role. Main ball handler when he's on the floor.

being on a bad team on his rookie year inflated his stats. now, we're just seeing what his real capability is.

Yup, they gave him the keys to the franchise his rookie year so he could get empty bulk stats on high usage because The Kings hadn't been relevant or anything less than a laughing stock since like 2004. So they pounded the narrative of having the ROY to get some kind of positive attention and did everything in their power to get him the stats for the reward, even though his stats had little to no impact on winning basketball games.

Tyreke just took at the end of the 1st half. Amazing spin move and a beautiful pass to Aminu for the dunk. F da haters.

Such a loosely used term, that almost anything is statpadding these days.

New $40 million contract and hot chicks is what happened.

He's not that good. After his rookie year the league figured out how to play him and he never grew/adjusted. This isn't the only dude who's career was like this. He was also on an awful team and given the greenlight to do whatever he wanted.

Yeah, pretty much ^. He's lazy. He hasn't worked to improve his game. I don't understand how he got that contract.

I still can't figure out why the Pelicans signed him. I thought for sure it meant they were moving Eric Gordon. I guess they just wanted to pay 11m per for a point-forward 6th man who can't shoot. :confusedshrug:
