What's happening? For one, Howard post-ups aren't resulting in good looks. I can't say I have a problem with the number of fouls called (although it did slow the flow of the game) given the way the Lakers chose to play defense. There were some bad calls in there, but the Lakers were reaching, hacking, and daring the Rockets to make their free throws for the entire game, and especially with DH in the 4th quarter. The Lakers had their "matador defense" in high gear for most of last night.

They got reamed a couple times, and got away with murder a few times too.

I will give D'Antoni some credit for managing the foul situation reasonably well and having nobody foul out. Bottom line for me is that I'm happy they found a way to get a win on the road, and even happier it was in Houston, but it was anything but pretty until the last 3.4 seconds.
