Long time Suns fan.... Thought this guy was a hack.
Last 2 games he looks like your all American stud.

What's going on here? Is this going to end abruptly or can I expect to enjoy this for years to come?

According to folks inside the Suns, Morris has a huge hardon vs Kawhi Leonard. From mid-way through his rookie season people have talked about how they could have had Leonard instead. They say he's particularly focused when given a chance to face the Spurs.

I hope he continues to develop. Without a guy like Gortat clogging the middle, he'll have some more opportunities to utilize mismatches vs small forwards.

It's only 5 games, but 16/7 off the bench is a really nice start and takes the sting off of losing a guy like Dudley.

hes always had games where he put up pretty nice numbers. but this season it looks like he may be able to do it consistently. He should be a lock to get 25-30 minutes a game with frye continuing to get back into game shape. im excited to see how consistent he can be this year.

He's probably alot happier this year playing with his twin now, although now that he's vastly outperforming him thus far, how long will they keep Marcus Morris.

I have him on all 3 of my fantasy teams

And to think I was gonna drop him right before his breakout game.

uhh, just look at his splits. when he's allowed to get in a rhythm and play 30+ minutes (19 games), he's averaged 16.3 points on 53.2% FG, 8.2 boards, 2 assists, 1.2 blocks, 1.1 steals, 76% FT.

he's legit. he should really get 30+ minutes going forward now. suns need to develop and he's a major piece. that said, not sure he's ready for a starter role but he cleary deserves those 30+ minutes. he'll score, crash the boards and not be a total liability on D.

looks like suns got a steal with plumlee too and i couldn't be more wrong about that dude. i knew he had talent but i always questioned his drive and consistency. so far, he's proving to be a solid center that plays smart. i think he can turn into a brook lopez that plays defense. maybe not the same offensive polish but he'll be close and he'll more than make up for it on the defensive end.

As a big man, he's got a very nice post game, a decent dribble and range to beyond the 3 point line. Not supremely talented but a very solid, polished player.

I liked both brothers coming out of college. Kieff has the skillset and size mismatch to be a crazy good sixth-man.

Looks like a pretty good trade Plumlee, green both playing well and did the Suns pick up a first rounder as well? All for Scola who Phoenix has no use for.

Hopefully he can help the Pacers.

Heard an interview with Hornacek in which he talked about being Utah's scout for the Suns, meaning he saw every second of their games last year.

When he was interviewed and first met with players, he says they laid it on the line for Morris. Rep was that his effort was lacking and inconsistent. Practice habits weren't great. When called upon, he wasn't always ready to play. Finished with "your ties with the Suns are gone; now it's on you to decide if you play and stay". Pretty blunt assessment in an interview.

Anyway, it appears he's responded very well. The key will be to see if this continues, or he lapses into old habits.

7 games in; Suns trolling the league.

Morris: 17 points 7 rebounds 2 assists 1.7 steals on 63% FG (50% 3pt) in only 29 minutes a game.

10/13
10/13
9/12

Calling out all ISH wanna be scouts, evaluate Markieff's talent now after the year he had. How good can he be?

good starter, solid second/great third option, sixth man of the year potential.

I think he could easily average 18/8 if he was given starter minutes.
