His defense looked kind of sluggish, could he have defended this better? Jeff Green 3 right in his grill.

I think he lost a step. He did get schooled by Green there.

Big dap to Green for getting open.

It seems like Wallace took more than 5 seconds to throw in the ball. Really close though. Lebron's defense was okay. Not going to blame him one bit even though giving up a 3 is the first thing you should prevent in this situation. I feel like they didn't need a defender (Birdman) to defend/distract the out of bounds guy also. It just happened to be an amazing pass and shot.

How are you supposed to stop a 6'9 dude shooting a fade away three? He did get a hand up there too

Heat never should've been in that position in the first place if Wade didn't choke.

How do you allow a floating inbounds pass from sideline to sideline and let a dude get open and get dat 3 in the face? I mean this does happen to the best of them, but looked like Bron hesitated or lost a step or something. I'm pretty sure though, he'd made that block If he was still usin HGH. Too bad the league tightened up on that testing this season.

Fluky pass and fluky action. That shot was simply going in regardless of the defense.

But his defense is leaving a lot to be desired this year, probably also because of his back.

Still no effin' way he is winning DPOY with this

No, they shouldn't have allowed a lottery team to score that much. Boston shot 50% from both the 2 and 3 and out rebounded the Heat.

The ball travels faster than human being, with or without HGH alright? He had a hand up in Green's face, if it's your boy kobe he wouldn't even be able to contest it.

He went for the misdirection on the play, so I guess he could have seen through that and stuck with his man. Broken down well here (http://www.celticsblog.com/2013/11/10/5086300/ato-review-jeff-green-miracle-in-miami-boston-celtics-miami-heat-upset-review).

that's fair, but the result is that bron had a hand in green's face, regardless of the process. not saying miami's defence/ brons defence has been up to level, but comon, this shot isnt on lebron.

Oh, I'm not blaming him at all... just wanted a reason to post he article really. The entire play was designed to get LeBron to do what he did so Green had the smallest amount of room to get the shot away. I wouldn't say, aside from "seeing through" the misdirection, he could have done any better. And even then he was right there.

Here's my opinion on the play...

The only way LeBron could have play better defense was to deny Green the ball better. When Green cut to the corner LeBron double-looked and lost him for a split second which left him open for just a second. Wallace's type of pass was risky as hell. He threw it over Bosh and LeBron and it could have been easily tipped, but his pass was right on and perfect. You throw it too low and it's tipped by a Miami player, you throw it too high and Green has to extend to try to catch the ball which means he probably won't get that shot off.

The way LeBron defended the play after he caught the ball to shoot it was completely fine. He had a hand up in his face, Green was fading away in the corner and shot it. You don't risk fouling a player that's 6'9" shooting a fade-away corner three like that. As far as make-able shots that's one of the hardest to make on the court at the three point line or closer because you don't have the backboard there as a safety net to possibly bank the shot in if you over shoot it.

In the end, the Celtics hit a tough ass shot.

Wallace wasn't even close to 5 seconds, and Lebron let Green get open by trying to cheat to the top of the circle. Doesn't take long, but then you guys still think Lebron is a good 1 on 1 defender.

No, he was looking to cheat. Watch the play, not even an attempt at a pick and Green got open.

He took one step in the direction of the guy comming off the screen and then recovered, a step that he has been taught to make through drills in practice for 10+ years. His defense was fine.
