The 4th most famous franchise in NBA(after Lakers, Celtics, Bulls).

I hope they can come back and get back to the elite of the NBA where they belong.

Proud and Historic? More like pathetic. To be located in New York (a place players want to play) and still be arguably the worst franchise in the NBA over the past decade is a joke.

Not really. They've been struggling since before i was even born. It's par for the course as far as I'm concerned.

I'm a huge Knicks fan and Cuse fan. I LOVE Carmelo Anthony, but I hope he leaves in free agency and this team gets torn down and rebuilt. They can't win this way.

They would be able to if their pieces could stay healthy but one key piece is always missing.

Not really the case, at all.

The Knicks problem is they're never good enough to win, but never able to rebuild due to constantly paying giant contracts for mediocre rosters.

Z-Bo should be available this off-season Knicks fans and then you can have a beast to throw the ball down low to.

This is exactly what came to my mind. Before last season it had been something like a decade since the last time they made the second round.

That doesn't mean anything, it just means the management of the franchise and the decision making is poor. The NBA has rules, even if all the New Yorker ballers wanted to play for NY, and end up getting into the NBA draft, there's still no guarantee they will land on the Knicks or that the Knicks will draft them.

Stephen Curry (not sure if he was NY or not), but he wanted to get drafted by NY and vice versa, but he ended up getting nabbed by the Warriors. Now he loves it there.

Alot of NY ballers are in the NBA, just not maybe necessarily on the Knicks. This in no way reflects the city or anything, this is solely James Dolan's fault!

Poor Melo. Bad owner, gm, coach and players, and no plan...

Oh, my god. I hadn't ever seen this vid before. :oldlol:

Knicks aren't a proud, historic franchise. They've been irrelevant since losing in the Finals to the Spurs.

Not really.

The building they play in is proud and historic. The franchise hasn't been anything special in two decades.

Whatever ills they're experiencing are all their own doing.

Then why do people always say that large markets have an advantage? I guess people were just talking out of their ass the whole time? :confusedshrug:

Actually it's been 1 decade. They were in the finals in 1999.

But I guess just post whatever to suit your agenda.

I will gladly edit that to say "14 years" if that makes you feel better. Or "this century". Whichever you prefer.

that was the most hilarious Knicks season I can remember, especially with the information revealed in the sexual harrassment trial

I still don't understand how they were so bad that season. Randolph, Crawford, Chandler, Nate and Lee are all big time players for their playoff teams these days, why couldn't they click with Steph? I REMEMBER how bad they were, but these players are all considered quality these days. It's weird.
