are all cut of the same cloth. These guys don't give a fk about FG% and don't care if it's a half court heave, full court, or shot clock bail out shot. They will let it fly cause they have the balls to do so. These guys are unconscious... they can shoot 30% for the whole game and still have the cojones to jack up the game winning/tying shot.

I would put Westbrook in this group of players as well but he lets the media gets inside his head sometimes and resorts to passing to Durant in the final seconds just for the hell of it even though he has more of an arsenal of moves to take the last shot.

So whats your point I rather have a team player than any of those players you listed.

At least Kobe could play lock down defense when he was young in his prime.
Yeah, he doesn't give a shit about defense now, but he is old and saves himself for scoring so he can climb up the all time list.

Everyone else on that list can't or won't defend for shit, and that's not excusable because they don't play both ends.

This is a lie.

Rip Hamilton put up 22 ppg in the finals on "prime kobe".

"Prime Kobe" has admitted he's not willing to take charges. You think any player who plays their ass off on D is 'not willing' to take charges?

Kobe's defense = completely constructed myth. There is no evidence of it anywhere.

Did you just lump in Rudy Gay with 4 legitimate star players?!?

The highlight of Rudy's career. Someone send a link to his mom so she can print this and frame it.

Do any of their teams have a winning record right now?

Obviously we are not talking about skills/talent/accomplishments here... we are talking about a mentality. We are talking the clutch gene/killer instinct.

I would lump Paul Pierce in too but I don't think he would take the last shot if he was struggling all game.

Westbrook is smart enough to realize that Durant is the best option late.

Kobe was smart enough to use Pau the right way to get two rings. These guys are straight up winners.

All the other idiots you mentioned are selfish low bball IQ retards.

I guess that his all defensive selections or everyone who watched games back then can serve as a witness but if you don't think that's enough you can always download those games and see for yourself.

Rip and Ray Allen are players that Kobe don't do as well against either defensively or offensively. The reason for this is because of the way they score. They run around multiple screens all day to get the open shot and run Kobe to the ground so he tires himself on defense rather than offense.

Game 7, 2010 passed to artest for a dagger late in the fourth, also relied on fisher alot in the past as well.

Even so, Kobe never guarded the likes of Carmelo, Durant, CP3 in the playoffs at all. And size is no excuse, Ive seen defenders like Baron Davis guard Lebron James or Stephen Jackson guard Dirk in crunch time. Elite defenders guard multiple positions or at least lock their own position down like a prime Bowen or Artest. Kobe has never ever ever been a premiere defender. That is a complete rewrite of history.

Throughout his playoff career he was either getting lit up by the guys you mentioned, or he was guarding the likes of Raja Bell, CJ Miles, and Thabo Sefalosha. He has never shut down anyone of consequence.

Not necessarily a compliment.... a guy making his shots at that magnitude would less likely put his team in a game-losing situation with single digit seconds to go and hence he & his team would be more successful.... after your teams backs are against the wall after going like 10 of 30 then you might aswell chuck up the last shot aswell, ofcourse... i mean a shot has to go in eventually.....

Kindof reminds me of: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=0gWxHFMog9w#t=280

You mean have Pau get offensive tip ins? The same one that sent your Thunder home in their first every playoffs?

The same Westbrook that deferred to Durant in the finals when he should have kept shooting?

Gotcha.

Which is why Kobe referred to Reggie miller as one of the hardest players he's ever had to defend. Kobe's also stated Derek fisher was better at defending off the ball players like those two you just mentioned.

because trying to take a charge is a gamble and it is more effective to contest a shot than to stand there hoping to cause a turnover. its the same concept of trying to steal a ball, if you miss then you leave the player wide open.

this is called knowing the dynamics of basketball. you should study up on it before you talk. same thing with your political views.

aren't you always bringing up FG%? Did you just forget to mention that Rip shot 40% FG or does that not help your agenda so you ignored it on purpose?
