Seriously, does anybody remember Kobe's 17/47 FG game or Stackhouse?? Making only 7 field goals when taking 34 shots?

Kobe Bryant took 47 shots in ONE game?! Holy jesus.That was my same reaction. It looks like it was an overtime contest. I scanned very quickly, but it appears as if he shot 2-4 in OT, which would have made him 15-43 in regulation.

He took less shots than that to get his 81. :eek:

Kobe never met a shot he didn't like.

Don't remember Monta firing off near 40.

How many of these games went to overtime I wonder

They went at it though. 3 Pointers that game:

Toine = 1-8
Kobe = 0-8

If you look the boxscore you will able to see that Shaq didn't play that game. Kobe find himself with a scrub supporting cast in an off night shooting.
And back then defenses were tighter.

Or Stackhouse?? Making only 7 field goals when taking 34 shots?That Stack game was in overtime as well. It looks like he was 0-4 in OT, so 7-30 in regulation.

That was an awful Pistons team. Stack had free range to do whatever he pleased, so he opted to average 30 a night on 40% shooting. That's the same year he dropped 57 on Chicago (on 21-36 shooting). Then again, he also had 46 against the Lakers that year on 13-30 shooting.

The following year he cut back for the sake of the team. That, combined with a slight squad overall, led to a division title.

missed shot is better than a turnover

missed shot is better than a turnover

And better than not even attempting half-court/full-court heaves and shot clock bail out shots.

Look at the roster, yechh. With Shaq out, that is one trash lineup other than Bean.

I remember that game. He was clutch af. It was rigged, though. He took like 15 shots in the paint and didn't get a single call, despite legit contact - that one FT he got was a technical free throw. Had he been reffed like Harden or Durant it would've looked more like 16-30 FG 22 FTA

I thought Rudy did eye surgery to help with his shooting :facepalm

Are we going to act blind that we ignore players shooting less than 20 FGA but having 20 FTA?

true but there is no reason to take that many shots when you are having an off game. Other stars would find away to contribute in other areas to minimize there off night offensively.
