Andrew Wiggins and Jabari Parker have played only one game each collegiately, but the growing hype surrounding these star freshmen has them competing for an elite status next summer.

Well before that, they'll face each other on the court in Parker's hometown.

Wiggins and fifth-ranked Kansas will try to spoil Parker's return to Chicago and beat No. 4 Duke in a rare meeting between two of the top programs in the nation Tuesday night.

I think Wiggins looked quite good out there before the second foul. He seemed to be more active than Parker. When he picked up the 2nd he had 6 pts and Parker had 8. After that Parker started to impress me more with his drives.

You can applaud Parker's performance so far, but Wiggins did nothing to raise doubts about him...he just picked up a stupid weak second foul and missed the last 11 minutes of the game lol.

Anyone else think Parker looks kinda heavy on his feet at times? He will be a small forward in the NBA and I can't help but think some NBA execs are gonna look at him and then how smooth Wiggins moves and think he will get to where he wants to go easier in the pros. However, Parker is a very crafty player and can shoot very well so there is a trade off.

Yes, Parker seems slower than NBA SFs but he's too crafty to be denied. He has the Paul Pierce know how with a bit more agility. He's does a lot of things really well and knows how to use his body too. Wiggins seems more NBA gifted.

Its opening up the whole court for the rest of the team so they can drive, and if they do get the ball to Wiggins inside, hes gonna dominate and put in an easy one, no matter who is guarding him.

This is 1 game. But you can see the potential. He was in foul trouble and didn't play nearly as good as he is capable of.

Just sit back and watch the freshman sensation butt **** the college word and go #1. The hype is deserved. I'm never wrong about these things, he will be a superstar.

I was thinking the same thing about Melo/Parker. Though, Parker looks a bit more committed on the defensive end already... which tells me -- considering his athleticism -- he may have the potential to be a Melo-like offensive talent but with the defense to go with it. That would be a major superstar.

Wiggins' upside is what makes him so intriguing. He's not as refined as Parker yet, but he's already able to put up 25/10 while in foul trouble against an elite collegiate team. That tells you all you need to know.

Right now, I do think Parker is the better player. You don't draft for right now, though.

I'm willing to bet Wiggins blows the combine out of the water. He's a physical freak.
