It's sad how low boxing has become. It used to be the sport location of they year for big title fights. Now you have to search Google for who won fights because regular news stations won't even talk about it any more.

I disagree, this recent round robin quasi tournament they been having at light welterweight is very compelling

And the Manny Pacquiao hype train continues.

I haven't seen MP face anyone not coming off a loss, being drained in weight or having to come up in weight besides JMM turning him into Rumplestilskin.

Brandon Rios is a lightweight, fights at 130 coming up to welterweight,

two he is tailor-made for MP.No defense, doesn't fight off the back foot good,is a come forward fighter,is slower, smaller and has a smaller reach than MP.MP is bigger, faster, stronger and more used to the weight.

Come on.BR is tailor made for MP.I mean really
WHO TF is Rios?

Mayweather-Canelo,Bradley-JMM,MP-BR
Which one seems and is entirely off in the rankings of the fighters?

This is basically a tune up fight for Manny. It all depends on his condition.Did JMM knocking him out and age and random ped testing have a huge effect on him to where he doesn't have it?

This fight is basically a statement. He's tailor made for MP.
MP hasn't had a knockout since 2009 and has been extremely lackluster his last 5 fights.

Its like the Bucks vs the Thunder in comparison.

If MP doesn't win this,he can call it a career.BR is tailor made for him.

Rios isnt smaller and he aint no lightweight. He couldnt even make the weight limit at 135lbs in one of his recent fights and looked totally drained. I think his walking around weight is 155lbs to 160lbs.

But i still got Manny Pacquiao winning this fight

smaller weight wise,

Brandon Rios fights at 130,
He's moving up in weight.

He walks around at like 150-155 yeah, but seeing as he can cuit 20 pounds of water weight while MP is shredded at 147

BR hasn't been at 147 much
he's a career lightweight.

He is dedicating the fight to the victims of the storm, it's a bit personal now.

I don't think anyone has Brandon Rios winning this except maybe Brandon Rios.

A come forward fighter who's style is basically tailor made for Pacquiao.
MP doesn't have to worry about someone with the defense of JMM and Bradley now.

Its like Margarito vs MP all over again only Brandon Rios isnt even as good or big as Margarito.

No, he doesn't. His last two fights were at 140, and hes been fighting at 135 for years. lol 130. Dude hasn't seen 130 in at least 4 years.

Rios is not smaller than Pac weight wise or height wise. In his 2nd fight vs Alvarado, he weighed 161. The heaviest Pac has ever weighed for a fight was 148. Matter of fact Rios weighed 151 vs Peterson in a lightweight bout, and that was 3 years ago. Rios was draining himself for the past couple of years just to make weight. Every die hard boxing fans knows this. :lol

You're so adamant about Pac juicing haha.

Do you think he's gonna lose to Rios?

Manny is past his prime, but he's still way better than Brandon Rios I got Manny via UD or late TKO. Rios is a smaller Margarito. He's a come forward style fighter. And Pacman loves beating those type of boxers.

Pacquiao weighed in at 150 and 151 vs. Juan Manuel Marquez in their last 2 fights. (fight night weight). Marquez were 147 and 148. Manny was 3 pounds heavier than JMM when he fought him at Welterweight.

i usually never watch boxing bouts, but i might scope this one out in hopes manny wins . i randomly caught a documentary on HBO that revolved around both fighters and their upcoming match , and from what ive gathered (solely through that source) , manny seems like he's on his last stretch as a professional boxer with his people's pride riding on his back and rios seems like a cocky douchebag . dude went on a rant during the interview about how he enjoys boxing more than sex and compared being in the ring to an orgasm . he has passion , i get it - but this guy comes off as a kook and i hope manny blasts him .

rootin for the old guy in this one . pilipnozzzz !!!

Manny will destroy him.

Boxing is not dead either. I think its quite good right now. There are a good 10-15 fighters worth watching right now. Floyd,Pac,GGG,Ward,Alvarez,Broner,Rigondeaux, Garcia,Bradley,Marquez,Matthyse,Guerrero etc.

it surprised me too being that both of them were coming off losses. but it doesnt really matter anyway, it was probably some BS belt and neither of them was really considered the champ.

and as far as BR being tailor made for MP, yeah he was...for the old pacquaio. for the current MP, he was a good gauge to see where MP was at being that he was going to test manny's chin

It's a meaningless belt, created just to add some luster to the fight.

..but more importantly, the santioning bodies wants that sanctioning fee. :lol

rios - 159 lbs, pac - 150 lbs fight night.

pac has always done well against bigger, slower, stronger opponents. when he's fighting folks he feels smaller than him (marquez, bradley), he goes forward and tries to walk them down
