Harden went to the rim way more often than Corey Maggette. Harden also finish at the rim with way better percentage.

If people want to criticize Harden about this, they need to show plenty of phantom fouls that gets called. It's not Harden's fault that he gets fouled a lot.

As a Harden fan, I can see the times where he's doing what I consider flopping (flailing arms and shit from no contact and not trying to score). More times than not though, he's legit getting fouled. He's holding the ball out in front of him and the defender is swiping at it or coming across him. The other times where he's initiating the contact it's because he's faster than he seems so the defender never actually has position.

Wade took a lot more contact than Harden did. He was a lot faster, more explosive and more athletic, and he didn't shoot many jumpers; you would expect a player like D-Wade to get lots of FT. Yet in Harden's last season, per shot attempt, he took more FT's than Wade ever has in his career.
