Also, which of these players do you think will sustain these numbers? Which players won't?

I'd vote for Evan Turner if he can keep it up.

13ppg on 42%FG -> 23ppg on 50%FG is a massive improvement, and one I really did not see coming.

I was expecting Anthony Davis and Paul George to get a lot better, but I had honestly half forgotten about Evan Turner.

A ton of canidates this year. It's so nice to see a bunch of players improving, but it is very early in the season.

So far if you're just basing it on the 10 or so games played right now, I'd have to say Evan Turner. The 76ers are doing better than expected so far, and Evan Turner is playing above his hyped pick status when he was drafted (at least to me).

Anthony Davis is right there with him, but Turners turnaround so far has been unbelievable. He's doing quiet things in Philly.

george is a mvp candidate and he won MIP last season so he is out...
love, lin, martin already had breakout seasons..

bledsoe and turner are the best candidates if they can keep up their stats

Is it possible for a player to win MIP two years in a row?

Paul Geroge went from

12.1/5.6/2.4/1.6
to
17.4/7.6/4.1/1.8

and let's say he finish this season with
25.2/8.1/5.0/1.9

I say Anthony Davis gets it, but Paul George is a good candidate, too.

I can see these two and KLove maintaining their current averages or maybe just dropping by a few decimal points in categories like PPG.

Lebron from 56% to 61%.

No offense to OP, but it's obviously Davis' award to lose.

Turner? Sure. Take away the top players and naturally someone steps up. Same goes for Hawes.

Bledsoe? I didn't look them up, but are his per36 numbers much different than last year?

George is nice, but he was continually getting better last year. I'm not convinced he's markedly better this season than at the end of last season.

Davis is clearly the front runner, though the "expected leap in the second year" comment has so much truth to it... though I don't want to knock a guy for that.

Also, which of these players do you think will sustain these numbers? Which players won't?

I'd suspect the best is yet to come from Hayward. He has finished strong every year after slow starts. Kanter or Burks might be more improved though.

Are you insane? Davis played through injuries and if you think players labelled as busts can randomly score way more points on MUCH improved efficiency just because they get more touches makes you deluded as ****. Objectively, from a pure numbers standpoint, Turner and Bledsoe are the clear favorites. They're like entirely new players unlike Davis who is showing his true self.

Actually it's usually the sophomore slump and then they come back and beast in their 3rd year. Still, like other posters have mentioned, there are a ton of candidates this year. To me, if things continue as they are, it should be either Cousins, Evans, or Davis. MAYBE Bledsoe..but I feel like his numbers are just a result of an increase in minutes (see: Drummond). He's playing over a quarter more each game than last year. As for Martin, he's done this before. He was always a 20+ppg guy on the Kings.
