I always thought Chalmers was a dirty player. He's also smart, so some of the stuff he does is really hard to see. He gets a lot of foul calls this way.

I don't think the elbow was unintentional. It's not like he tried to swing his arm around in order to get through and hit Dirk accidentally. And if Dirk was really holding his hand, he doesn't even get his elbows high enough to elbow him. Also the replay was very clear. Moreover I didn't see anyone on Miami's bench standing up for Chalmers, which also says something about the situation imho.

Chalmers' hand was not being held. It was Chalmers, who grabbed Dalembert, not the other way around. You could maybe argue Dirk's was about to set an illegal screen, but Chalmers took a swing even before that contact happened.

That does not look accidental at all.

His arm was not being held and the Mavs player he collides with was already going the other direction. You can see him adding extra energy to his arm and swinging in dirk's direction AFTER his arm was already free.

1. Noah Clearly grabbed Chalmers arm with his neck.

2. Griffin is a flopper.

3. Chalmers arm was grabbed, Chalmers compensated and when the arm was released Dirk's Face was in the way.

Chalmers is probably the dumbest playmaker in the league. I think the elbow was accidental and the suspension was too excessive but it doesn't change the fact that Chalmers is an idiot.
