View Full Version : Miami winning games despite Lebron coasting....

This team is pretty much loaded and nasty on defense. They can win games with their best player coasting.

I wish Kobe played for Miami and get his 6th to tie MJ.

Kobe couldn't put up 27 and 7 on 62/52/77 if his life depended on it

Probably the most stacked team ever.

Beasley is playing better than LeBron and he barely gets off the bench.

so OP implies Kobe can only get his rings by playing for a stacked team.

Probably the most stacked team of all-time.

Their FO takes good chances signing these low risk high reward type players and they seem to always pull through.

Kind of sad. Last year they had a better winning percentage when Lebron didn't suit up. They won 66 games with a complete liability playing big minutes for them. Imagine them with Brewer or Aminu in place of Lebust  This era really sucks

I thought those teams were "Shaq's team", therefore, it should really be Shaq couldn't win with Kobe/GP/Malone/Phil

Okay, but if Lebron is coasting by putting up 3 straight 30 point games, than why doesn't he put up 60-70 a game on 37 shots like he was quoted as saying recently.

It's a weak era and players today are making a living off of it. Just look at the inflated stats.

He can't do it.

The law of diminishing returns, the more you shoot the more tired you get and your percentages fall off.

Let's be honest, he's not going to keep that 60% rate all game. If that was the case shouldn't Lebron be taking 100 shots then? I mean 60% is better than the team's average.

I know right? Just 4 years ago the league was so much better. Now you have manufactured *stars (actual liabilities to their teams who are propped up because ESPN has lost the face of basketball, Kobe Bean Bryant) like Lebronze, Harden, Irving, and Love. I think they have a combined WP% of like 35%. Career losers who can't play against handchecking, or without traveling, flopping, chucking 3s, or being lawnchairs on defense. Really sad. I would put most of my YMCA league against the "allstars" of today's NBA

I like to think of it as career losers joining forces.

Wade is probably the exception and that is even arguable.

On the other hand though it's such a waste seeing LeBron like this. He could be putting up 38 10 10 2 1 if he weren't on such a stacked team. This is his prime we're seeing and we're only getting around 65% from him every night. It's like we're all being robbed of something what could have been really historic. :(

Kobe could play harder than Lebron and still have worse stats.

Put Kobe's chucking azz on this team you'll be lucky to win 10 games, because do you really expect Bosh to rebound all those bricks? :oldlol:

 All of Lebron's all star helps combined still isn't greater than Shaq himself alone, if someone like Bosh is even sniffing HOF that is because Lebron is putting them rings on his fingers.

Lebron already equaled Kobe on FMVP and blew him out of water in terms of individual plays(MVP), still with years of prime play to stack them up.

There is no "NBA HOF" it's just basketball HOF. And if that's case, that isn't the truth. Gasol and Bosh performed roughly equal with the Raptors and Grizzlies. It's Gasol's superior play in international competition that makes him a lock for the basketball HOF, even before the 2 rings he helped Kobe win. Don't get ahead of yourself alborz.

Bosh made 5 all star teams and an all NBA team in Toronto.
Gasol made 1 all star team and 0 all NBA teams in Memphis.

I'm well aware of their international resumes, but don't see their relevance in a NBA discussion. I'm pretty sure Bosh is really proud of Pau's silver medals though.

One got robbed of a FMVP, the other score 0 points in a finals game 7.

Gasol in his prime is so much better than Bosh it's not even close, at the very least he led his team to the PO in the west, what has Bosh done?

Obviously Miami is pretty stacked but I don't think they're much better than least year or even better at all. Some of their key role-players like Allen and Battier have gotten another year older, Wade's knee probably won't hold up, they are still undersized (unless Oden can play more than 5 minutes, which is doubtful) and their starting PG is still a liability. So they haven't really adressed their main issues in the off-season.
