BREAKING: Iman Shumpert had secret knee surgery this summer

Iman Shumpert had a second left knee operation over the summer, the Daily News has learned and it is unclear if the unreported surgery could impact his trade value with the desperate Knicks trying to package Shumpert in a number of proposed deals including one for Boston's Rajon Rondo.

According to a source, Shumpert had arthroscopic surgery on his left knee last July that the Knicks never reported.

In October, Mike Woodson cryptically said that Shumpert "battled this summer with some of his injuries" and added that Shumpert did experience knee pain but left it at that.


It's Frank Isola, so rather have someone else confirm it but....

Agreed they can be annoying and they do over hype the crap out of their team. They thought they were legit contenders this year. Anybody could look at that roster and tell you that they weren't winning shit.

I'd seriously, seriously consider being done with this team if we trade Rondo for Iman ****ing Shumpert after we just forced Pierce out to get rid of KG. At least until everyone realizes Danny Ainge is the biggest FO jackass in the league and he gets canned. Who's going to handle the ball for Boston? What good is Wiggins, Parker, or Randle if we don't have a point guard to pass it to them?

He probably had scar tissue cleaned out from the surgery prior. I doubt it was anything major because it didn't affect his timetables for the season at all.
