The Buss family makes moves. Derek Fisher for Jordan "THE WORM" Hill. The dude has been unreal this season. Eats up rebounds for dinner.

He was beast-mode tonight.

That backwards layup off the glass off the pick&roll was ridiculous.

Bigger better Kennath Faried the dude's actually got a good IQ he know's how to move off the ball with the best of them and is one relentless mofo.

Dude is a machine on the boards. He will certainly average a double-double if he keeps playing big minutes

His nickname is the garbage man on twc sportsnet and lakers nation.

The guy is always hungry on the boards, haven't seen such high levels of tenacious rebounding by a Lakers Power Forward since Lamar Odom.

I hope Jordan Hill knows that Lakers fans appreciate him and his hard work and hustle.

I made a thread last season comparing the two and people laughed at me :facepalm

Oh well I guess the saying is true: he who laughs last, laughs loudest :oldlol:

He was actually traded for Fisher + 1st round pick, not bad. At first I thought it was bad, but at least they finally dumped Fisher.

I now know why they threw in that 1st round pick.

People who've been paying attention the last few years know this guy can really play. ****ing idiot D'Antoni has been hold him back for a while. I bummed out when he got hurt last year.

Liked him at the UoA, but after his stints in New York and Houston, thought his career was over. Glad he's picking up.

Hill can actually play defense and not get killed in the post by undersized PF's.

didnt faried just have 21 and 13 in a blowout win against the lakers?

he was our 2nd most important player last year (behind Lawson and ahead of Gallo and Iggy), and is our 2nd best players this year as well.

he might not be a GREAT defender, but neither is Hill. I'll take Manimal every day of the week and twice on sundays

err actually hill is a decent defender,
in 2011 OKC killed us because bynum was too lazy to defend PnR,
the only time we won against OKC was when hill playin huge minute at centre

No he was not, Gallo and Iggy were way better and to top it off the dude could do nothing against a Warriors frontline without David Lee and got smashed by Landry and Barnes.

You are seriously underrating the two way player Iggy/Gallo were last season.

I always thought Jordan Hill would be pretty good, even back in da day when everyone was laughing that Knicks didn't take Brandon Jennings. But D'Antoni hated him in New York so he was shipped out with Jeffries. Which was fine at the time, because Knicks needed cap space anyway...

Hill's rebounding rate is excellent. 2nd highest in the league right now this season, and his entire career he has a high rate.

He's been good for the Lakers since arriving. He was never a bust. He just didn't get much playtime before.
The dude is a rebounding machine. I bet he could hit double-digit rebounding numbers every night if given sufficient minutes.

And Jordan Hill had 18 and 15 in the 111-95 loss (blowout?). Hill is a better defender than Faried anyways, its quite obvious.

He always had talent, just lacked opportunity. :confusedshrug:

8th pick in the 2009 draft would tell you he has ability. I remember people saying he was picked too high though and that he'd be a bust, seems like now he is proving them wrong :pimp: Whever I saw him play, he looked like a guy who was deserving of minutes. Coaches haven't been kind to him.

i watched every second of nuggets basketball last year. get real bro

1) faried was injured in the playoffs
2) iggy was pretty bad all regular season (his defense was decent, but nothing more due to idiot coaching). Nuggets fans told themself, just wait til the playoffs, that's where iggy will show his value by defending the oposing teams best perimiter players. and just look at whan Curry did to him. how the **** can you use the playoffs to prove this point?
3) Gallo might be on the same tier as Faried, but he's always injured and that should count

and one more time. dont act like you know nuggets basketball better than me just because you got andremiller in your username

you guys are underrating Faried's energy. Hill is a great rebounder, but Faried's energy is second to none in this league

I got him in my fantasy team. Hope he gets more minutes cause every time he does, he produces good numbers.

D'antoni isnt the best coach in the world so i hope he knows what he's doing.

I watched 50+ of the Nuggets games last year and Faried did not bring the playmaking or defense that Iggy and Gallo just cause you watched more games does not mean your understanding of basketball is better than someone who watched less. You can argue maybe he was pretty the same as Iggy in the regular season but no way was he better than Gallo before his injury.

Faried just looked good in the up and down system, give me guys who have good playmaking ability and actually defend than a garbage man who can't stop anyone from scoring on him or create for himself. WTF does my name have to do with any of this why would you even bring that up?

First of all let me say that I'm glad cause I picked him in the 206th pick on my fantasy league and he's been paying off a lot. That was september.

Since he arrived in LA I always felt he was a good player. Last year he got injuries that limited him during all year.
This year he's healthy and getting a lot of minutes so he's proving his value.
