The Pacers aren't trading Paul George.
But next year when Danny Granger will become a free agent, that will be interesting what they do. Give him another big contract? Trade another player to free up cap space? Let him go? Who knows.

Indy would have to be nuts. You don't trade Paul George right now without a sure superstar return. IMO Rondo won't be dealt, if he does get traded, until after he comes back and GMs get to see that he's still an elite PG. You can't give up a guy like George for Rondo right now, even before he was hurt the George we've seen since the playoffs is a tough guy to deal. May be a superstar and only 23.

When was the last time the best team in the league made a blockbuster trade during the season? Never. Especially when it involves your best player.

:lol Paul George is in that tier 1 category with Bron and Durant. That's like trading Drew Brees for Russell Wilson (if you watch football)

Yeah, Indiana is shooting down all Paul George related questions at this point.

But ... if you built something around Rondo, plus The C's unprotected first rounder in 2014, would you as the Pacers wonder if you could roll those dice about weather George could keep the C's out of the top three in the draft.

What if they threw in one of the Nets picks they have unprotected too, for a team that looks awfull at the moment, and figures to age badly.

And if the C's were willing to take on George Hill's contract, which isn't terrible, but he'd be a bit of duplication with Rondo.
