He says he's a lot stronger but I think it's the weight he gained. He says he can post up and use his off hand to push off defenders. That is going to be all time great post game. I see him playing a lot of SF this year.

He definitely looks heavier. But it's probably for the better if he goes into the post more and comes off some screens. Better than going 1 on 1 and tiring yourself out.

Not much lift...

Not much lift...
Nope not yet.
I think it will eventually get there. Lack of strength in the legs and probably because he's heavier.
I say he should lose the weight and eventually it will come off due to conditioning.

Seems like D Wade with a better jump shot.. but less explosiveness and lift.

I'm rooting for the guy, honestly am.
But some of that footage was pretty concerning to me. The very first clip, it looks like he tries to jump off his left foot (injury side) and comes up lame mid jump. I've had my achilles pinch off a jump and the way Kobe finishes that jump and comes away hopping is exactly what I did. Looked painful.

Not a game.. not a game.. we talkin bout practice.
How the hell can I make my teammates better by practice?

Hold up. He's coming off an achilles injury AND he's heavier?
This boy DOOMED. He gonna injure something else if not tear his achilles again.
Just shows that he didn't train properly. If anything you want to come in LIGHTER so you risk less injury to your legs.

I didn't think so. I actually think if Kobe himself didn't say all those donut jokes or being fat jokes, you wouldn't hear anyone saying any of that stuff.
I'm actually a bit concerned. He doesn't look the same. Not sure if it's the small clip I saw but deep down, I don't feel he's going to be as dominant as he was pre injury. Im REALLY worried that if she jacked up shots before, he's going to really put em up now.
I am rooting for the guy tho. Hard not too. But he had the probably the worst injury you can have as an athlete.

i say, just use him as a 3 point specialist.......plenty of those in the league, and with practice he might be very good at it

I think with time he's going to lose that weight. He was off his feet for a long time. I don't expect him to keep weight because he knows it's not good for his knees and now his achilles.
I do see him playing in the post more because we have some SG's who are learning how to be much more aggressive.

prepare for disappointment.
Kobe looking a bit fat.. but thats what happen if your injured and cant exercise and train that much.. he will eventually lose the pounds.. if Kobe comes back, hope MDA offensive sets will be a bit slow paced, and Kobe just needs to go more post ups
