Irving > Wall
Waiters < Beal

Can't pick a winner for this game though.

It's official, Waiters is on the bench now. :oldlol: God damnit, Brown... C.J. Miles starting at the SG.

Miles gets hurt somehow. Looks like his right foot area. Waiters checks in 2.5 minutes after the game starts. Wizards sinking every shot, mostly off Cavaliers turn-overs.

Love the way the Wizards are playing.

Good effort on the defensive boards, finding the open man and efficient finishing.

They look great this quarter.

Again, Beal's shot is beautiful

How do you NOT play your #1 pick at all when playing against the Wizards? I don't care how bad he's played...you gotta give him some burn and at least let him try and feel his way through those struggles.

This coach and team doesn't deserve to be on the floor right now. Makes me sicker than watching the Cavaliers pre-2003 when you see all this talent on the team and you have players that have no f*cking direction and a coach that paces around with his hands on his hips wondering what the f*ck he's doing.

Nothing is going on with the Cavaliers. We're just this bad. It isn't going to magically get better. Brown is still going to sit there and do the same shit he's been doing and at post-game interviews say "I don't know what I was doing. I was just doing it on the fly."

Here's the question...

Are the Cavs just playing horribly for 3 1/2 quarters and then playing the way they should all game in the final 6 minutes... Or, are the Wizards playing great for 3 1/2 quarters and then terrible for the final 6?

I guess it can be looked at differently depending on your perspective, but I don't think either teams' fanbase comes away from this one all that happy.

Cavs looked horrible most of the game playing offense while the Wiz were chruning like ur grandaddy's Caddy.

It all flipped. Wiz can't buy a bucket, Wall shooting like some kind of first option, which he isn't.

Can't speak for the Cavs because I don't watch them, but the Wiz kids should be probably 6-5 if they haven't blown leads inside 3 mins. Like BLOWWWWN...I'm talkin up 10 vs. OKC with 2:30 to go. Maann. Went to the game with my dad. Had SUITE-level seets. Never had anything this nice before. Never seen sports so close in my life. Somehow, we ended up leaving early. The team had no energy, the arena had no energy. It was just so damn boring and waste of time. Come on, Cavs. This season is really bumming me out.

This one really bothered me...

Same situation here. I was center court ten rows from the floor but left at the start of the 4th... I've never seen so much arguing between the coach and players on a Cavs teams as even Tristan was yelling back and forth with Brown.

People can say what they want but the players need to man up and realize Mike Brown is here to stay so they either need to buy into his system or get used to losing. It's mainly on Kyrie though. He talks so much about how the great players come to play EVERY SINGLE NIGHT but he has been the model of inconsistency thus far.

Anyways, hopefully we get it together at some point soon.

The fans take their cues from the players. When the team was making that run in the final minutes, the arena looked electric. These fans will stick it out... Always have, always will. This is Cleveland. We've dealt with a lot worse before.

Brown needs to make a statement to these kids. If that means bringing the entire starting unit off the bench in the next game, so be it. I feel immaturity on the roster is causing a lot of the problems. Guys are fighting against the tide.

There's no point in it. Either buy-in or GTFO. That goes for everyone. You saw how much better the team played when Delly came on the floor and laid everything on the line on every play. That's the kind of energy all of these guys should have and, frankly, that was a staple of Brown's 2006-10 Cavs teams.

Outside of James, they may have not been the most talented roster in the league, but they scrapped. This team actually does have the talent... they need to man-up. Plain and simple.

Bill Simmons' on describing a Zach Randolph last three pointer against the Cavaliers years ago. Someone described one of Earl Clark's three pointers in the same fashion this game...

Read this, Simmons makes this hilarious...

So, Gordon is inbounding the ball from the left hashmark near midcourt. Thornton, Novak and Randolph are stacked at the top of the key. Baron is under the basket. Thornton cuts through to the left corner. One Mississippi. Obviously, he's not getting the ball. Baron starts moving up toward the top of the key, only the Cavs know he's getting the ball -- (two Mississippi) -- so they block his way. Everything is congested. The fans start panicking. Three Mississippi. Baron accelerates past the 3-point line, only LeBron sees him and jumps in the way so he can't get the ball. This is an awesome play. Four Mississippi. Gordon finally passes to Randolph, who takes two dribbles and …

(Oh no.)

Picks up his dribble and …

(Nooooooooooooooooooooooo!)

Launches a 28-foot 3-pointer with a hand in his face. His third air-balled 3 of the night. Actually, it was more than an air ball -- it almost killed the ball boy.

Cavs ball, 1.8 seconds left.

The fans are in disbelief. Randolph's teammates are in disbelief. Dunleavy is making a face that my friend Sal later describes as "A face I have never seen a human being make before." What ensued in the next 20 seconds could best be described like this: Imagine being trapped in one of those big hospital elevators with eight other people. One of them pulls his pants down and just starts going to the bathroom -- not No. 1 but No. 2. At that specific moment, the doors open for the next floor. How fast would everyone else in the elevator flee for the door? Lightning-fast, right? Like, Usain Bolt-level fast, right? That was the entire stadium after Z-Bo's air ball. He basically took a dump on the 3-point line.

Bennett to me in terms of attitude/effort/mental state looks a lot to me like Thomas Robinson on the Kings which is not a good thing, both in there rookie season go out on the court, don't really care and take really low% shots and are terrible finishing on the inside.

As far as the game Nene should get some All-Star consideration he's raped the Cavs frontline both times this year, Beal until Delly went beastmode on him was unreal and Wall had good impact.

The current Cavs in terms of the way they play reminded me of last year Kings which is not a good thing, the offense is a mess and they are trying to play D but don't have the roster personal to do so........They been super disappointing so far for me.

I pretty much agree with your assessment thus far, but Delly's effort deserves a more comprehensive breakdown.

Beal was killing us all night. Finally, Brown calls Delly's number near the end of the third quarter. The entire Cavs' team immediately shows more effort/intensity than it had all night. Sims was a big part of that, too.

But, there was a series of about four consecutive defensive plays by Delly midway through the fourth quarter that was the main reason the team was able to get back into the game.

First, he stayed in Beal's hip pocket off the ball, forcing an errant pass/turnover. Then, he contested a Beal three-pointer so thoroughly, it resulted in an airball. On the next Wiz possession, he forced Beal to pick up his dribble and then forced a turnover/fastbreak by obstructing an entry pass to Nene.

Finally, on the very next defensive possession, Delly had the play where he denied Beal the ball on that dribble handoff, forcing a 24-second violation.

Kyrie will get all the credit for his scoring 18 points in the final 4:30 or whatever it was, but Delly was the only reason the team had a chance at the end.

Here's the sequence of defensive plays I'm talking about....

Delly for me impacted the game more than any other Cavs player and the biggest knock on him coming into the NBA was athletic ability/defense and he blow those two off like they were nothing 2night. I would not mind seeing more Delly/Irivng on the floor at the same time, while Waiters is talented I don't see the fit with him atm with Kyrie imo he could and should be the Cavs super sub (but they bought in Jack which makes it even more confusing).

Maybe a trade might not be to far away what do you think RBA? Cavs got lots of good little pieces they can move around they are to talented to be performing the way they are new coach or no new coach. If I were the Cavs I would dangle Waiters and something for Gordan Hayward

no pun intended

something i've noticed over the past few games.

Can anybody grab a f*cking defensive rebound? Cavs gave up so many damn second chance opportunities last night it was disgusting.

Delly was the bright spot. TT had probably his worst game all season. Dion's shot was off. Kyrie needs to get more aggressive in the first half.

WTF is up with Nene last night? He looked like he couldn't miss. Beal had a great night because he was left wide open so much. I can't count the number of wide open threes he knocked down. He looks like the real deal though.

Gotta give props to the Wiz for moving the ball well last night.
