Meh, some of the time that they take out of the pile is spare time. Watching tv, cooking/eating/dining out, etc are all things people do for enjoyment in their spare time either by themselves or others.

But I don't really see the point in viewing life in those terms like "I am going to waste a quarter of my life sleeping" or stuff like that. All you can really do is try to be satisfied with today, however it is you do that. The only thing to avoid is getting stuck routines. People can go years without really experiencing new things and that is the only thing I try to avoid.
