Hibbert deserves it based off play thus far.

Why wouldn't Howard get it?

Why wouldn't Howard get it?
Because he's not the best defending center in the league.

Why wouldn't Howard get it?Because Hibbert's better.

Lebron won't win it just because the dude can't get EVERY award, he's the new Jordan in that regard.

So it's Hibbert's to lose so far.

no pun intended

^Team rec will kill Davis' chances.Yeah, he's a solid candidate but NBA award voters are dinosaurs, they give awards retroactively a lot the time.

Trust me, Hibbert telling the media y'all mother****ers don't watch us play woke up some voters. Because he was right. That's not even me being biased, it's just true.

Eric Cartman

Because Hibbert's better.

I agree, also he's on a fantastic well liked team I guess.

Still Howard is an awesome defender, where would you rank him so far?

Injuries dont help lebron's chances for the DPOY, it helps his chances for the ring.

i agree hibbert deserves DPOY.

As what? Defensive 5s? Depends what happens with Gasol's knee, but behind him, Hibbert, and Davis. Howard won't win, but he's worthy of a handful of votes.

Jan Vesely deserves some votes. He's been unbelievable this year. He reminds me of a white Perkins with his impact on the game.

He's not been good enough defensively this year to win it. At least not statistically. Hibbert or Unibrow deserver it more at this point.

Lebron hasn't been anywhere near DPOY this year, he'll have to step up his game just to hold on to his all defense 1st team spot.

The real race is between Hibbert and Davis.

Nope, He won't win it.

He's cruising right now, also the Heat defense this year has been average, nothing spectacular.

Hibbert leads the way, and i think he will win it, he's the core of the pacers defense, also his comments last year to the media will help his case more.

Lebron had it locked imo in 2012, but he got robbed by Tyson chandler, that was his biggest chance really.

Hibbert will win, unless Davis gets ANY help from his squad and the team's record improves.

LeBron only just started playing defense the other day (I think the game against Dallas was the first time this year he put effort in on that end), so we'll have to see. Obviously on the short list though.
