The Rules
You should know these by now, but if you need a refresher, please click here (http://207.58.151.151/forum/showthread.php?t=313960). There has been a change to the scoring system, so please read below for full details.

You have until Wed., 11/27/2013 @ 5 pm PST (8 pm Eastern) to get your picks, bets and wagers in. All bets must be approved by me.

The Wagers
For this week when picking the ONE wager of your choice, please specify whether you AGREE or DISAGREE with the wager.

1. Dwyane Wade will average 22 PPG this week (3 games, excluding Monday game).

2. James Harden will pass Kevin Love for the #3 spot for most FT attempts by the end of the week.
KLove: 112 attempted; Harden: 106 attempted

3. Evan Turner will maintain his lead over LaMarcus Aldridge on the PPG Leaders list by the end of this week.
Evan Turner #12 with 21.7 ppg, and LaMarcus Aldridge #13 with 21.7 ppg.

Again, please remember to specify whether you AGREE or DISAGREE with any ONE wager above.

The Picks
Game One (Wed., 11/27) San Antonio Spurs @ Oklahoma City Thunder
Game Two (Wed., 11/27) New York Knicks @ Los Angeles Clippers
Game Three (Fri., 11/29) New Orleans Pelicans @ Philadelphia 76ers
Game Four (Sat., 11/30) Houston Rockets @ San Antonio Spurs
Game Five (Sun., 12/01) Indiana Pacers @ Los Angeles Clippers

From this week on, if you correctly guess within 1 point of the true margin-of-victory for a given game, you will gain 1 point. Being within 2 points will be worth 0.5 pt, and any margin of victory greater than 2 will not earn any points.
Examples:
- Miami Heat by 5 @ Brooklyn Nets. You guessed they'd win by 6. You will get 1 point for guessing the victor correctly and another point for guessing the margin of victory correctly. Total = 2 points.
- Los Angeles Lakers by 15 @ Detroit Pistons. You guessed the Lakers would win by 13. You will get 1/2 a point (0.5 point) for the correct margin of victory, and of course 1 point for guessing the correct winner. Total = 1.5 points.

Scholar, what classifies as "this week"? Wed-Sunday?

That's a good question.
The Weeks start an hour before Game One begins and end either after Game Five is over or until all wager stipulations have either been met or failed. A Game Five could end on a Saturday, but maybe the wagers call for games to be looked at all the way until Sunday. For instance, maybe a wager claims that Kevin Garnett will have one 20/10 game "this week," so we'd have to look at how many games the Nets will play between Game One until Sunday night. Even if Game Five of the Week ends on Saturday night, if KG is playing Sunday night, we have to wait and see if he'll manage that 20/10 by then.
Just treat "this week" as whenever Game One starts until either Saturday night or Sunday night. It's all dependent on whether or not any wagers or games are going into Sunday evening.
Hopefully that makes sense.

And :applause: at Coin24. Thanks for joining. You'll be starting off with 11 points. Hopefully you read the rules and understand them. I know this is supposed to be just an online game, but what are rules if they aren't enforced? They suddenly just become 'suggestions.' 2 people quit because they wanted me to give them special treatment just because they're active on this site, as though that means money in my pockets.
Anyway, sorry for the rant. My point is to just say that this is a fun game and it can stay that way if rules are followed.

EVERYONE, PLEASE READ

I want to make another change to the scoring system that'll be implemented in Week Six, but I'm not going to just force it on people. I want you guys to let me know if it's something you'd like.
My idea is to make Wagers worth 3 pts from Week Six on out, which means you'll earn three points for guessing correctly or lose three points for guessing incorrectly.
My reason for wanting this change is that because we all are now deeper into the Game, eventually accepting 1 pt wagers won't be worth it. I don't want to make Wagers die out.

If by the end of this Week (once this thread is over) there are more people saying yes to the amount saying no, I'll implement it next week.
It's up to you guys.

And like always, if there are suggestions for how to improve this game (other than wanting me to give people a pass on missing a week), don't be shy.

New thread will be up after Portland Trailblazers @ Los Angeles Lakers game. I am waiting to see how much LaMarcus Aldridge scores tonight to see if Evan Turner maintained his lead in the PPG Leaders list, ala Wager #3 this week.

Expect to see Week Six thread up by 12 am PST at the latest.

Aldridge 22.1 ppg, Turner 21.4 ppg...don't see Aldridge blowing this. There goes another wager :facepalm

Should be a solid 6 point week for me. The later week picks messed me.

Doing the math Aldridge needs just 9 points today to maintain his lead.

It's official. Wager 3 is decided. Aldridge's PPG > Turner's
