Are schools in America group based like they are in the movies? :oldlol: Like do groups of friends just stick together and that's it?

Stupid question, but I don't think I have ever been surprised by seeing someones relationship status change. Even though I went to a big public high school (one of the biggest in the state) you pretty much communicated and interacted with most of the year level. Like everyone is friends pretty much, even with the 'nerds'. So you know who is getting with who and all that stuff.
