They still deny that it is for aliens. They say that they were harboring Soviet aircrafts and they tested the stealth F-117 Nighthawk, essentially hinting that the claims people made about harboring an alien spacecraft and UFO sightings nearby were actually these things that they revealed.

Questions for ISH:
-Do you think the government had these things they claimed and no alien related stuff?
-Do you think the government did not have these things at Area 51 and only made up this stuff about the location to cover it up?
-Do you think that the government is telling the truth about F-117 and Soviet aircrafts at Area 51 but also have alien related stuff?

he's the highest official to ever make such claims in public.

does he have actual evidence other than fantasy stories with his claims? no, and that's why many people just think he's a very old man talking out of his ass.
