What are the chances he goes number 1? Seems like most people are off the Wiggins train and either on his or Randle's.

Do you think he has a Melo rookie season?

I think he will have a better rookie season than Wiggins because his game will translate very well so it could be like Melo vs. Lebron where people questioned whether Lebron should have gone ahead of Melo in their rookie season.
He's the most skilled Freshmen SF I've seen since KD. This kid is scary good. Teams should be tanking for Parker, not Wiggins. Nothing against my fellow Canadian Wiggins, he's going to be good, but Parker is more polished offensively.
I hate Duke, but I'll watch their games just to see this kid play.

Saw this game. He had a nice put-back dunk. Jabari is exciting to watch. Future Laker in the making. :D

Wiggins will be the player in the future, Carmelo in his rookie year seemed like the better player to Lebron, although the gap wasn't that great.

Ahhh just another great freshman that the Raptors won't have a chance to draft because they won't tank. I hate sports.

Where do you see both of their ceilings at?

Not to me. First time I saw Lebron in possibly the worst game of his career as a rookie I could see something special. Carmelo I've never seen that.

Let's be real, if Toronto got the number 1 pick, they'd take Emiid for his potential and watch has he busts to Thabeet levels.

I see the Melo comparison, but he seems like a smarter player.

To me he looks like a bigger Pierce rather than Melo

Rather have a bigger Pierce than another Carmelo myself.

The Melo comparison makes sense, but to get the full picture you have to throw in Paul Pierce and Grant Hill as well. He doesn't look like a chucker, though I could be wrong.

With all due respect, in four games for Kansas, Embiid has shown a million times the offense, coordination, footwork, etc. than Thabeet ever showed at UConn.
When you're first looking at him you think of those other foreign big guys who are projects such as Thabeet, Melo (the Brazilian Syracuse player lol) and even Deng from Louisville last year (although he was way more advanced than the other two)....but when you actually watch Embiid handle a ball, you can tell he is light years ahead of them already.
Yes, he would still be viewed as a project, but where people think he can get his game to is a lot more realistic than what people saw in Thabeet who was a true klutz that could block shots.

People never saw an offensive presence in Thabeet. They saw Deke 2.0 and rightfully so. He is pure trash.
People are literally calling Embiid the next Dream. Just stop!. :facepalm
He has more potential to fail at his expectations than Thabeet ever had.

always makes me wonder what Durant would have been had he stayed all 4 years. He led the NBA in scoring in a season that would have been his senior year in college :lol

We don't need a thread after every game. Especially when it's a game in which his team almost got upset by a shitty Vermont squad.

you could be right but he needed one more year to enhance his skills ... nothing wrong with what he did but he basically has the edge in college.

How? He's older than all of them and shows nothing that even points to being better than them NOW forget later. I heard Wade comparisons and I just laughed hard.

Might be, but he's still not going first overall. I just wish the Knicks would've thought ahead and not given up this pick this year. People have been talking about this draft for a few years.

He's better than those guys right now bro. Parker is actually right there with him, hes unbelievable.
But You can just see that he's got IT. I see no scenario where he doesn't become a star in the league he can do it all offensively and defensively. did you see that block last week? That was D wade like. Hes a born leader too, cant teach that. He'll take a three and bury it if you dare him and he'll post and toast little guards if he feels like it. Cares a lot about winning and his teammates. 4 steals a game :applause: unselfish too:applause: Playmaker:applause:
I love his game lol:bowdown:
