Selfishly, I'd like to see Kobe back and playing again but you know, that wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if it all worked out right. If the team could get high enough over .500 to not worry about falling out of the Playoffs, then they could have Kobe continue to train and come back fresh then while everyone else is exhausted. It won't happen and I don't know if I see the team without him making the Playoffs, it's a big mystery.

Same with Nash honestly. Let these guys rest and heal up while practicing and bring them back when teams aren't prepared for them in the Playoffs to unleash them.

Actually the Lakers were smart enough not to offer him a contract. Remember when Dwight was pitching to every team why he should be signed? The Lakers brought in Kobe and Nash and gave Dwight his chance to convince two hall of famers why they want him back.
