Based on what? Wall was better than Jennings is now, in his rookie season.

As I said in the Lakers-Wizards GDT-

There is not a better example of a franchise player right now in the league. When I say that, I don't mean he is the best player in the NBA or anything. Just that as an owner, you can't be happier with how Wall is playing and conducting himself. Nothing phony, nothing 'me' first.

From how he distributes, improves his teammates and now he's scoring clutch buckets to win games? A guy with a shaky jumper at that.

All of that plus he is a gracious, team first guy who has a great attitude for a franchise with a mediocre history and mostly bad 21st century.

The Wizards really have a gem on their hands. I mean that in all facets, even those that transcend the court. Excellent role model, as much as an athlete can be that is.

Definitely playing the best PG in the east right now. the thing I like about Wall is that he has that knack to want to be a point guard and pass to the open man before anything else. He has the ability to be a 20/10 point guard with unparallel offensive ability. He just really has to work on that jump-shot and stay consistent.

Because when everyone talks about LeBron being GOAT they talk about him surpassing Bird as the all-time best SF, not passing Magic Johnson.

He's a SF that has awesome ability to play the point. There's no way to argue around it. He'll go down as a SF in NBA history. Period.

There's nothing more I'm stating on the subject.

I recall several people saying that Kyrie was going to be the best PG in the East this season. If this board had any kind of usability, I could probably find them, but well...

I don't think it is so outrageous to nobody ever thinking it.

Some of the responses in this thread are laughable

"Wall isnt' best PG, LEBRON IS" yeah, becasue Lebron is totally a PG.

I'm not downplaying Wall at all, but it seems like people are just waiting to jump on the Wall-wagon once he explodes. He's been the league for over a few years now and has not lived up to expectations at all consistently until starting recently. Or has shown flashes.

The most important thing is the Wizards are competitive. And they did it without their leading scorer Beal tonight.

There most important player is Nene he brings things that are impossible to replace this is not to say he's better than Wall but as long as Wall is healthy the only other player they can't afford to miss is Nene everyone else they can easily cover.

Wall's emergence has a lot to do with Nene being there and being able to take pressure of him by providing a go to post player and playmaker.

Nene has really surprised me this season. When I was watching the game tonight I think I heard them say "He's 3 points from his career high of 29."

I'm like, "What? Nene's been in the league this long and he's approaching a career high in points in a game?"

Wall was killing it the last 30 games of last year too fwiw. He averaged 21 and 9 on 48% from the field over that timespan I read somewhere. Those are fantastic numbers, he's basically just pickin up where he left off last year. It goes without saying but if he knocks down that mid-range jumper consistently, it's lights out Lucy. He's the boogeyman.

I would feel way better about their prospects in that stretch if Beal wouldn't have gone down. They were already a little thin to begin with, I'm not sure they could afford to lose such a valuable player for an extended period of time. Wall had to have a monster night just to beat the Lakers in DC.
