Right now, who is the best point guard in the league?

John Wall thinks he is.

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1867341-john-wall-im-the-best-point-guard-in-the-league

Of course he has yet to lead his team into the playoffs.

He's hurt, so he's not eligible.
But you can nominate Udrih, he's eligible.

Teague is a better overall point guard than Curry.
Curry is a better shooter, but Teague is a far better QB at point guard.

Curry
Wall
Lillard

Irving

The next tier of young guys.

Parker and Conley the best of the remaining vets.

No doubt.
But running a team is more important for a point guard.

Curry doesn't have to worry about it as much since he has good passers in Bogut, Lee, Iguodala to help him out.

Dribbling the ball down the court and then jacking up a three point shot (which he admittedly does make a lot of) doesn't necessarily make good point guard management.

Wall is way better than Irving, with that crisp shooting % and winning record.

Stop it; Teague is nowhere near as good as Curry. Defenses have to be much more concerned about Curry than Teague.

Says who? Its the point guards job to get the best shot for your team, and when your shot is as deadly as Curry's you have to let it go when you are given space.

Stop. Curry gets all his shots purely because of his team.

This makes no sense; he's been getting those same shots his entire career. You really going to tell me that Monta Ellis and David Lee were creating those shots?

You're telling me having two allstar level scorers is bad for your shooting percentage?

Now he also has Thompson and Barnes as well.

Who is the best starting PG = Chris Paul

Who is the best traditional PG = Chris Paul

Who is the best scoring PG = If Monta Ellis doesnt count then ill go with Russell Westbrook (Derrick Rose healthy)

Who has the ability to dominate the most as a PG = Lebron James (im extremly serious)

Tony Parker has an argument.

Victoire
11-27-2013, 05:15 PM
And once again, Tony Parker is completely underrated by most posters. He is top 3 PG for at least 6 years and probably top 2 for 3 years in a row. He plays under 30 mins a game, in a system where the assists are totally diluted between players, and yet have better stats (per36) than almost every PG, leads (if you watch the spurs regularly, you'd understand that if Spurs are a machine, Parker is the engine) the spurs to a quite decent 13-1 start and he is regularly in the top 5 MVP's candidates on most experts' list. But no, for some, he is not even a top 5 PG...

Totally irrational stuff.

Totally irrational stuff.

Tony Parker has gotten his love the last few years. He's been consensus top 3 the last 2 seasons, at worst.
