Should be fined for this crap. Cheating.

Sure, there are a lot of other small cheats like this otherwise, but fine those too.

should be ignored by the NBA,

Completely disagree. NBA makes a big deal about the game not moving along fast enough, yet no punishment for trying to get a time out for free? Prevent that shit from happening in big moments in the playoffs now so that it isn't utilized on a big stage.

We've certainly seen Lebron bump his fair share of coaches, so we know it happens :lol

If Kidd hadnt been foolish enough to mouth "hit me" immediately before it happened, he could have retained some benefit of the doubt.

Stupid to use this trick in a regular season game. You're only gonna get one of these, might as well save it for the playoffs.

Should Fratello get fined too since he said he used to do it? Red Auerbach used to spill drinks, drop hot dogs, throw towels in front of referees, all kindsa stuff. He didn't ever get fined.

Not retroactively, just like players don't get retroactively assessed for flopping 5 years ago. But the league should look into what is going on in the current situation and dull out punishment just like they do in most other situations in the modern NBA.

Awesome move by Kidd, if he just didn't word it with him mouth. He should have had a hand signal to do it, like in baseball. Like tap your left nostril 3 times, then touch your chin. He easily would have gotten away with it had he done that.

When I thought it was an accident, it was actually funnier. It looked completely ridiculous.

But if it's on purpose, that's pretty clever. Next time, Kidd will have to do something different...take it up a notch. Like urinating on the floor or something.

SpanishACB
11-28-2013, 09:54 AM
you know what kills it for me?

the fact that after the spill he just stands there staring at the floor like thinking "is this BAD enough for a timeout or what"?

when the norm when somehting like that happens would be to stare at the player who bumped you and probably demand an explanation for making me lose my drink

very unconvincing acting

It's not the coach, it's if it got attention and the reaction. Kidd was pretty flippant about it. So he'll need to pay a few bucks.
