View Full Version : Beasley should replace Bosh for Miami

Beasley can be signed for cheap around 6-8 million a year while Bosh requires 20 million. That extra 12-14 million can be used on a legit center and possibly other pieces. If Bosh opts out Miami should not resign him unless they can get a good deal imo. He is overpaid especially in comparison to his role which is mainly just to stretch the floor and play team D, being a liability in rebounding and defending against good centers.

A Miami lineup of Chalmers, Wade, Beasley, Lebron, Center is a lot better than the current one.

Beasley can both play the role of stretch PF for Miami or Lebron can play PF and Beasley at SF. Beasley shoots near 41% from corner 3s in his career. He has good range. He is younger as well. Bosh has no ability to be a good post defender. He is mainly just a good team defender. Beasley is buying into the system and without Bosh Miami's defense would be much better because of the legit center anchoring the paint D. His rebounding isn't any worse than Bosh's. Rebounding overall would be much better because Miami would have a real center.

I agree, but Miami won't do that...that's why I listed Bosh.

And Wade deserve to be shipped. No doubt.

Gave his team to Lebron.

Scaled back his play so Lebron could be "comfortable"

Helped Lebron win 2 rings as an second option.

Stood alone as the 1 option in the 2011 finals.

Lebron clearly owes him nothing.

OP, shut up. You aren't a GM.

Bosh's elite mobility for a big man is what allows Miami to play their ultra aggressive trapping defense.
That doesn't show up in the stat sheet, you have to watch the games to see it.

Bosh is an elite player and capable of being the best player on any given night. Why people underrate him, I'll never know.

No non-stupid GM is giving Beasley 6-8 million per year.

Right.

Boshs mobility and shooting at the center spot is perfect for Miami.

The only player that would be a better fit for what Miami does is prime Kevin Garnett.

Beasley, Bosh, Lebron front line is beastly offensively though.

Not sure if people are hating or just underrating him, but Bosh is so under appreciated on this site and in general, its ridiculous.

And what did Bosh do against Hibbert and Duncan? He was destroyed defensively and was badly out rebounded. He is literally useless against them.

You guys continue to underrate centers. You talk about Bosh being underrated but it is centers that are underrated. Miami won despite it's HUGE flaw of not having a center. Bosh is not the perfect center for this team or any team. He is not a center. He is a PF playing out of place. He is the perfect PF for this team, but he is not worth 20 million a year. Miami only plays him at center because they have the worst centers in the NBA. If Miami had a real center they would have beaten SA and Indy in 6 or less.

I've always hated Beasley, but he's been pretty good scoring off the bench. Thats the extent of his use though. Once you try starting Beasley and giving him 30 minutes your in deep shit because his non-existant three point shooting, poor rebounding, and poor defense will become more abundant.

Bosh is definetly overrated and a huge *****, but he is an ideal 4 in today's league. He's playing out of place at Center, but he's still a really nice piece. If Miami can get a real rim protector/finisher(Birdman type of player that can play big minutes) they will be legit. Maybe Oden can play 20 minutes come playoff time, and the Heat should be alright if thats the case.

I've been pushing for them to pursue Asik and I hope it happens. We can only hope that Asiks constant trade demands weakens his value to the point where Morey will consider Miamis potential package because otherwise Morey knows noone other than LeBron is truly worth Asik. Imagine the Heat with Asik instead of Wade. You see guys hyping Wade up, but then you know deep down 90% of teams would rather have Asik. i'd say the title would be a lock barring injuries.

Beasley is actually a pretty decent 3 point shooter. Not Ray Allen but he's pretty good.

This. He should be capable of shooting around 40% on 3's playing for Miami and only taking them when open.

No. Bosh is playing solid defense this season while beasley is a good scorer of the bench. Beas is playing the Tony Kukoc role for the Miami Heat.

Took about 25 posts before someone realized the obvious.

Edit: Although that changes when contracts run out, or are opted out of, of course.

I agree that Miami trading Wade, not Bosh would be best for Miami. But unfortunately we all know Miami would not even trade Wade for Kevin Durant and Anthony Davis which is why I brought up Bosh. Bosh fits better than Wade. With that said Bosh is still vastly overpaid at 20 mil a year just like Wade (though Bosh fits a lot better than Wade).

Beasley+ Asik (or other good center)>>>>>>>> Bosh

If it's not broke don't fix it. Beasley coming off the bench with his type of production right now is perfect for Miami. It makes absolutely no sense to start Beasley.

He comes off the bench, he can create his own shot sometimes and knock down the jumper and he's semi-athletic.
