Came so close to phucking up their future :lol

Caught a break when the Clippers intercepted their stupidity and ran it back the other way.

This might come across ignorant, but how come players like McGee and Deandre Jordan aren't better than they are considering their impressive physical gifts?

maybe they were just trolling the clippers?

because they are dumb. go look at all of the all-time greats, they had athleticism and intelligence.

Because there is more to basketball than just having 'impressive physical gifts'

no pun intended

I rather have DeAndre Jordan for 11m than Andrew Bogut for 11m.

That works more on guards considering they need to be a lot more skilled in the professional level than big men. For someone with McGee's insane length and athleticism for his size, the fact that he can be construed as a scrub is embarrassing.

Warriors had to waive Jeremy Lin in order to sign that offer sheet with DeAndre. crazy how it was one of the many variables that led to the Linsanity craze in NY

In some sense I agree, but Javale McGee is exceptionally stupid.

If Bogut is healthy, this is not even an issue.

Jordan would get close to 11 mil in the open market today.

By a stupid team maybe, but non-moron GMs wouldn't give him that.

The Clippers should trade Jordan out this summer and sign Andrea Bargnani to a 4 years, 48 million deal. Bargnani can shoot and spread the floor for Griffin, while Jordan is basically worthless on offense, except for rebounding and scoring off of Paul/Crawford created plays.

:biggums:

Not sure if srs. Their defense would be absolute crap.

Bargnani is a good post defender; he's not a good help defender.
But his offense is far, far superior than Jordan. That's not even close.

Bargs is pure trash.

Redick, Bargnani and Dudley at the three point line would things so much easier for Paul to drive to the basket and for Griffin to post up.

This. He is probably the worst help defender and rebounding big man in the league.

He's a terrible help defender. Rebounding is a problem because he is out on the perimeter.

But on offense, he's the best three point shooter for centers, and he is a solid low post player.

Again with Redick and Dudley on the perimeter along with him, Paul and Crawford has an easy time to getting to the basket and Griffin has an easy time with double teams.

DeAndre Jordan is an young, injury free starting center, and he's averaging 10pp, 13rpg, 2bpg and 60%FG.

There are a lot of teams in the league that would happily pay him 11m per year for that.

Hack a Jordan vs. Hack a Bargnani - which do you want?

Sure hes a wash for second in the league in rebounding and Larry Sanders just did.

The Clippers are like second in scoring, average rebounding even with Jordan's 13, and 24th in points allowed. 3/10 made me reply.

I'll take the one that isn't allergic to rebounding.

He averages 3.9 Defensive rebounds per game. You know when he's not on the perimeter? And considering he doesn't play help defensive/contest a high number of shots at the rim that is AWFUL. Also, it's not like he plays in a completely low pace system like Brook Lopez. Dude is an absolutely terrible rebounder.

No argument. But offensively, he brings way, way more.

There's no doubt he's more skilled, but he doesn't put those skills to very good use, as evidenced by his very low shooting percentage. A career average of 44%FG is ok if you're a guard, but for a center it is terrible.

He brings a better offensive skillset, unfortunately he's a moron. I wouldn't want on my team playing big minutes for league minimum.

The groupthought is strong in this thread. I'd take Jordan over Bogut going forward without thinking twice based on the recent trajectories of their careers and Bogut's injury history.
