I watched a documentary on it a while ago when they apparently had the Zodiac's DNA. Some guy said his father looked just like the sketches of the zodiac killer, and they wrote certain words very similar (misspellings like the word who shown as woo). His dad also would travel to the San Francisco area around the time the Zodiac killings would occur and they had the same show size apparently.

But the DNA off the envelopes are different from his father's DNA.

He wasn't accusing him of being anything. He felt it was a chance because a lot of things aligned with what he was father was doing during the time of the killings and there were a lot of similarities he noticed.

By the way, his father had been dead for years and years already when he ran this DNA test the labs did.

Frankly, if it was my father I'd want to know without a doubt. I'd hate going through the rest of my life guessing whether or not my dad murdered people.

This case is so shocking. Both of the survivors from the Zodiac Killer said that the FBI's main target Leigh Allen WAS the guy that did it. Yet, he passed a lie detector test, evidence did not match his DNA and his hand-writing was not similar to the Zodiac's. There was so much evidence pointing Leigh to these actions. He put some type of clay on his hands before his killings to butcher his finger prints. Also, lie detector tests and different writing styles could be duped by a genius such as the Zodiac and it's a shame that this guy has never been found.

I always thought multiple people were involved, would be easy for the killer to have someone else write the letters and have nothing else to do with it so that the DNA and handwriting don't match the suspect
