The irony is tragic in this one. RIP, Paul Walker.

Dude died driving a Porsche. Second time a celebrity died in a P-car; the other dude being from Jackass.

Crazy way to go. My condolences to his family and friends. He'll surely be missed.

Edit: I don't want to jump to conclusions about the true cause of the accident, so I'll wait until more details come out.

On Saturday (November 30) the actor's reps officially confirmed that Paul Walker is not dead. “He joins the long list of celebrities who have been victimized by this hoax. He's still alive and well, stop believing what you see on the Internet,” they said.

Some fans have expressed anger at the fake report saying it was reckless, distressing and hurtful to fans of the much loved actor. Others say this shows his extreme popularity across the globe.

Bad news. He wasn't a great actor but seemed like a chill guy, probably didn't take life too seriously which is a good thing. Hope that didn't lead to his demise.

Many women will be sad at this news. I might peep out the movie forum I hit up sometimes and check out the melodrama that will be typed out over there. Artistic film fan types tend to be extra emotional and sentimental.

I was at the event earlier in the day with my youngest, I'm pretty sure this was Walker and his business partner, they own an exotic car repair and storage shop called always evolving in town...

Paul Walker has died at the age of 40.

The Fast & Furious star passed away in a car crash Saturday afternoon in Santa Clarita, Calif., E! News has confirmed.

"Sadly I must confirm that Paul did pass away this afternoon in a car crash," his rep told E! News.

A rep for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's department said that when deputies arrived at the scene they found a vehicle engulfed in flames.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded, extinguished the fire and found two victims inside of the vehicle. Both were pronounced dead.

The department would not reveal the identities of the victims.

"It is with a truly heavy heart that we must confirm that Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident while attending a charity event for his organization Reach Out Worldwide," a rep for the actor posted on his Facebook page.

"He was a passenger in a friend's car, in which both lost their lives. We appreciate your patience as we too are stunned and saddened beyond belief by this news. Thank you for keeping his family and friends in your prayers during this very difficult time. We will do our best to keep you apprised on where to send condolences."

Best known for his role as Brian O'Conner in the Fast & Furious film franchise. The actor was also dad to daughter Meadow Walker.

A rep for Universal Pictures also released a statement to E! News, saying, "All of us at Universal are heartbroken. Paul was truly one of the most beloved and respected members of our studio family for 14 years, and this loss is devastating to us, to everyone involved with the Fast and Furious films, and to countless fans. We send our deepest and most sincere condolences to Paul's family."

The Glendale, Calif. native started acting at a young age, appearing in TV commercials and later starring in the television series Throb when he was 13.

He also went on to star in Varsity Blues, The Skulls, Joyride, Timeline and Takers, among many other films.

His latest project, Pawn Shop Chronicles, which also stars Matt Dillon and Brendan Frasier hit theaters in July.

Fast and Furious 7 was in production at the time of Walker's passing. He was also starring in the upcoming Brick Mansions, which is slated to be released next year.

Walker described himself on his Twitter bio as "outdoorsman, ocean addict, adrenaline junkie…I do some acting on the side."

One of his last tweets was, "Happy Thanksgiving to all celebrating today! Try not to get too full from dinner, seconds, dessert, leftovers, that late night snack."

my opinion is that they'll use whatever they have of him as a tribute then make a scene right after that saying he died and the movie will finish without him.

I think they'll use what they have of him then his character dies. In Terminator: Salvation, they put Arnie's face onto a younger guys body when the T800 appeared so they might do that. If they do that they'll have to re-write the script. Dom, Rome, Tej and Hobbs will probably be out to avenge the killer if its a murder.

An accident is an unforseen circumstance... if you get in a Porche Carrera GT, have a "joyride"... and think you have not foreseen a possible misadventure then you are out of your mind...

Thats not an accident, thats paying the consequences of reckless driving....

But, RIP anyways...

Dunn was driving his car while intoxicated. His alcohol level was more than twice the state's maximum legal limit in Pennsylvania.

Walker was the passenger driver and had just done finishing a charity event called "Reach Out Worldwide". The charity in this case is for victims of Typhoon Haiyan. The driver lost control while speeding in a section he wasn't supposed too.

Could Walker have said something in this case ? Sure. But the cases are very even similar.

No i dont, reckless is being reckless.... hell, being sane/sober and still being reckless is even more mindboggling considering thats just how you normally are / dont need to be intoxicated to act that way...

Paul Walker himself may have not drived, but he was fully aware of what he got himself into when he stepped inside that car with that driver and im sure he knew what the consequences could be..... that was a perfectly controllable circumstance from his side, even during the "joyride" he could have stepped out whenever he wanted or let the driver know to calm the hell down, but he did it anyways..... most people are like that, wanting the adrenaline rush, without paying dearly for it... and then when something happens "oh its a tragedy! why/how could this happen!" (are you serious?)...

Its just sad, Paul seemed like a very good guy.

You don't see the difference between A)Driving while piss drunk and putting the lives of others(including yours) at risk and B)Being a passenger in a speeding car? You can argue that Walker was guilty of stupidity, but that's where it ends. Ryan Dunn put his own life obviously, as well as everyone else on the road with him, at risk for his stupid sh*t. Walker was a racer besides being an actor, his business partner and co driver on the WC Mustang they race car was driving the car they crashed in... there's really no excusing this or passing it off as he was the passenger.. they both knew what their little spin around the block was about when they pulled out of the shop and it is a crime even if they were not drunk... this was a car capable of incredible speed in a short space, this wasn't a Corolla...

between his shop and where they crashed are two businesses that cater to family fun... a trampoline center and one of those indoor bounce house places... both of which are open for business on weekends.

I'm sorry he died, he was a good guy it seems from the little I was around him, his charity group supplying first responders in areas hit by catastrophes was top notch but neither his charity foundation or his being a nice guy is an excuse for being irresponsible and reckless... even if you're just along for the ride

Always Evolving's Porsche Carerra GT -- recognizable for its unusual red color and black wheels -- is a difficult car to drive for even professionals, with one top driver calling its handling “scary." Those of us at Autoweek who have driven the car will likely concur.

Always Evolving, a car race and tuner store operated by CEO Roger Rodas, a financial consultant who became friends and business partners with actor Paul Walker at a racetrack, acquired the car last spring, and used it often at car shows and in promotional ads. Rodas was driving when the car crashed, killing him and passenger Walker in a California business park Saturday afternoon.

There were fewer than 1,300 of the V-10, 610-hp, midengine cars built from 2004-07, with less than half coming to the U.S. The car that crashed, number 479, was one of 38 cars offered for sale by Always Evolving's store in Sun Valley, Calif.; it was listed as a 2005 model with 3,283 miles. The price is not listed; the car sold new for about $450,000.

It was offered by a dealer in Dallas for $339,000 when it had 1,707 miles, and then the car was listed in the duPont Registry by an exotic car dealer in Pompano Beach, Fla., when it had 2,100 miles. A dealer in Fort Lauderdale listed the car for $359,900, with 3,231 miles on it, and by then it had acquired the black wheels that were on the car when Always Evolving had it. Always Evolving was the next owner.

The car was originally purchased from Beverly Hills Porsche in California, in March of 2005. When the second owner in California bought the car in 2007, it had only 456 miles on it, and when it was sold to owner three in Texas in January, 2009, mileage was 1,510. When it was offered for sale in October, 2011, it had gained only 200 miles. The car went to Florida, then Indiana, then back to Florida, then Always Evolving apparently acquired the car last spring, where the license plate, California number 7CCY590, was mounted inside an Always Evolving black frame.

Sadly, you know the rest of the car's history.

lol you should see it now.. kids have been going up late at night or early in the morning and leaving tribute donuts in the street all around the area and in front of the shop...

yeah that's smart, honour someone who has died in a crash due to alleged reckless driving by reckless driving. Isn't that like honouring a victim of a shooting by shooting your gun in the air at where the guy died?

[I]Suspect Arrested in Theft of Porsche Parts After Santa Clarita Collision

The investigation of the traffic collision wherein Paul Walker and Roger Rodas lost their lives on Saturday, November 30, 2013, in the city of Santa Clarita is continuing. Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station traffic investigators are continuing to document the investigation.

At the conclusion of the on-scene traffic investigation the night of November 30th, the wrecked Porsche Carrera GT was loaded onto a contracted flat-bed tow truck to be transported to the impound yard for further investigation. When the tow truck left the scene at about 10:00PM that night, several vehicles followed it eastbound on Newhall Ranch Road.

At one point the driver of the tow truck stopped at the red light E/B Newhall Ranch Road at McBean Parkway. A witness saw a male exit a vehicle that was following the tow truck. The male grabbed a piece of the wrecked Porsche off the tow truck bed. The male drove away with the stolen vehicle part. The tow truck driver reported the theft to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff

no pun intended

"....I do talk to a white-haired man with small, even white teeth, who's been strolling around the site with a few inches of tape measure sticking out of one fist.

None of the newspeople is paying any attention to him. He's an engineer who works in a building nearby. He came out here the first day and took pictures. The engineer's son is a "pro drifter," and he came out, too, and it was pretty clear to both of them what had happened.

The whole story's written on the pavement, the engineer says. He asks me not to use his name, says it wouldn't be right for him to go on the record spouting off, that it might muddy the waters if there's ever an official investigation."

he's been on a nostalgia binge, i find it entertaining tho, he's bumping topics more aligned with ISH's roots rather than the garbage can that it has become.
