watch out I get Mastercard gift cards at work sometimes and they start deducting money from it each month if you let it sit around and don't use it for a while (18 months for MC). Pretty dumb for something you're paying for (along with a premium for the card)

a problem you might run into is buying something that costs more than the card itself as i dont believe you can use it in conjunction with another card

It is only $20, got it in a mail in rebate deal... I want to use it with another gift card and my real credit card but it is so complicated, online at least... And I hear some stores don't accept it??

Incorrect. A lot businesses don't accept AmEx because they charge higher fees to use their card versus the three major ones.
