Iman Shumpert yelled at Melo today for his complete lackadasical defense on Anderson on one play

Woodson proceeded to bench Iman for the rest of the game

That's the knicks is a nutshell, it's Melo/JR/CAA's little sandbox.

Can't have a real coach that would hold them responsible, need a yes man like Woodson.

Can't allocate minutes based on meritocracy, needs to placate Melo's boy JR's fragile ego.

Can't give ridiculous contract to guy like Lin but need to give 2 roster spots and $20 million in total for JR's service

Can't worry about winning because we need to worry about resigning melo :facepalm

Can't take time to rebuild through draft but somehow it's acceptable to be putrid for more than a decade and waste money/picks on losers like Melo

The problem is not Carmelo. He has always been and he will always be who he is, a highly ineffective volume scorer who will give you a great scoring night on only every 3 or 4 games. The problem is his fans who keep putting him in the same category as Lebron, Durant, Chris Paul etc in terms of his talent and ability when he is more of Rudy Gay / Monta Ellis. If you expect Carmelo to perform at the highest level on a regular basis and take a team deep into the playoffs you will be kept being let down and you cannot blame no one but you until you realize he is just not that good in reality.

Knicks were not this bad last season. Somehow Dolan managed to **** up their roster even further in the span of three months like only he knows how to.

For some reason watching the Knicks lose is entertaining right? Look...

We said the Knicks werent gonna be good this season
We said last year was a fluke
We said Melo wasn't a superstar
We said Mike Woodson wasn't a good coach
We said "Don't give 100 mil to Amare"
We said Dolan was an idiot

Everyone said this except you delusional fans in New York. You're worst then LA fans, you think you're suppose to win, that throwing money at the situation means victories. This is your bad decision making, your so called superstar, and your reality.

Seriously, I get that Melo has to score and he's the best scorer. But sometimes I still cringe. When he gets the ball and looks at the basket, I know no way in hell that ball goes to anyone else's hands. The team will never win this way. Especially in the games where Bargnani gets hot and wide open but ignored.

Because Carmelo Anthony despite of his flaws is still a better basketball player than Iman Shumpert, dumba$$.

Nah its not Melo's fault. Melo is good for the regular season. There is no team identity to fall back on thats the problem. Without an identity a team can not compete for a championship. Identity takes years to build just look at Miami (1st year no identity = loss). You can also take examples of Lakers 2012 (no identity = swept and Nets with no identity either)

There is no such thing as player A better then player B when they are all role players anyway. Role players do what they have to do according to their role there is no better or worse. Why else would Miller start for the Heat in the finals? Its all about matchups and playing your role accordingly. Miller couldn't guard anyone on the spurs and was no threat besides the open 3. Why does he start on top of proven vets like Haslem/Battier/Joel Anthony whom are all 10x better at D then Miller.

if Bargs wants more shots, he needs to get a tan, some tattoo, appear in a no snitching video, and change his agent to CAA

that's what matters in the Knicks hierarchy

Iman Shumpert yelled at Melo today for his complete lackadasical defense on Anderson on one play
You mean the one play were he bumps into someone like the retarded he is and proceeds to gift the other team with 3 points? Just like he did against the Pacers when the game was won for the Knicks?

Shumpert can't yell at nobody he is a disaster. Can't remember the last time he went to the basket or beat anyone, but everytime he gets the ball he threats to do something only to backpedal and ending up passing the ball. IT's hilarious really how bad he been.

There are only two players in the Knicks that can be called right now NBA players, Melo and Bargs, all the rest been pure trash.

Shumpert can't be effective on defense playing 20 minutes a game, i would love see him been a defensive powerhouse player 42 minutes a game while carrying a team.

But hey he has swag and sings and whatnot, who cares if he can't play basketball.

he's not a good scorer and seems to struggle getting to the hoop since his injury but you can't question his heart and effort on defense which is more than what can be said for Melo. he's been on a short leash with Woodson all season. he's the only knick, maybe bargnagni too, with remotely tradeable contract. I rather have him on the court providing defense and hustle instead of JR Smith out there chucking with reckless abandon, seriously why does JR get more playtime than Iman? JR has consistently being the worst knick getting extensive playtime

here's the sophomore schooling superstar melo on defensive schemes
