Hey I'm gonna buy a car soon. I'm looking at used models, probably the used ones off short term leases, ones that are 10,xxx something or 2x,xxx something miles. Not looking for anything luxurious, just want a fuel efficient vehicle right now as I'm a college kid. Right now I have my eye on the Ford Focus, Chevy Cruze, Honda Civic, Mazda 3. Which one to get?

Personally what is your experience with vehicles, what do you drive, what do you recommend? Thx in advance

My girlfriend has a Chevy Cruz 2013. Man, that shit goes from A to Z without burning a drop. On a fully loaded tank it can do 260/270/280 miles. Definitely recommend, the interior like the dash and gearbox, the radio everything looks great. Leg room for passager isn't perfect but it isn't bad.

all the cars you listed are pretty good. The new 2014 Mazda 3 is probably the best car.

Hondas, Mazdas, and Fords are all kind of a little pricey. My sister in law travels a lot and rents a ton of cars and she seemed to really like the Cruze. My buddy has a 09 civic, i think its a very solid car. It drives real nice.

please go with the Mazda, they are the most fun to drive cheap cars. do not buy a boring car like a Civic or Corolla. buy a Mazda 6 or 3.

or you could listen to all the sheeps and buy a Honda and an Iphone

Not buying a new one tho, I prefer not to spend 20k+

Here's what I found
13' Cruze LS with 17,000 miles for $13.5k
12' Cruze LT with only 7000 miles for around $16k. The LT does have the more complete package tho

12' Focus Titanium Sedan with 55,000 miles for $14.8k
13' Focus SE Sedan wtih only 6k miles for only $12.5k! This one seems like a steal, but it is a manual.

12' Civic Si with 40k miles for $13.75k

Maybe I'll go with the Focus...

I drive a Mazda 3. THey are good but the clutch sucks butthole. But if you buy a racing one (is cheapeer than the original) you will save a lot of money and time.

As much as I hate Hondas, they're reliable cars. I'd look for a Camry or Corolla too. Ridiculous resale value for when you eventually want to upgrade.

Depending on where you live, the Mazda 3 & 6 are rust buckets. I had a mazda 3 that started rusting after 3 years.
