Paul George is a very good player though. That was impressive. He caught fire like I've never seen. He almost made every single 3 he took in the fourth quarter.

Great move by Kobe to pressure the front office instead of simply leaving without saying anything. What happened after this pressuring by Kobe? FO got Pau and the rest is history.

I think PG's a 2nd tier superstar (at 23 mind you), but sorta feels like people can't accept because he pretty much came outta nowhere. He didn't even tear it up at Fresno the way Lillard did at Weber State or anything. He had a good soph year but nothing amazing, then he got into workouts and went from a fringe 1st rounder to a lotto pick.
He's easily better than Melo right now, but watch all the people that try to deny that. It's just a confirmation bias deal.
Which, honestly, is kinda fair. I was on Pacers boards telling people to chill on the expectations, that he'd never be an efficient 20+ scorer, that the hype was getting way too high. Sky's the limit now, shows what I know.

To sum it up:
1. George puts on one of the greatest performances I've seen this season.
2. Fake fans only riding Lebron's nuts are hating on a great performance just because they are too stuck on his jock to appreciate other players.
3. Kobe fans are at least decent in this forum for appreciating how "Kobe like" he is becoming.
4. Some idiots didn't even watch the game and are comparing him to Carmelo. If they saw the game, they would want him to shoot everytime he touched the ball.

I don't think anyone would deny that he's better than Carmelo Anthony. There are things Anthony is better at but overall George is better. Carmelo Anthony can't play defense like George and move off ball like George. I think maybe one weakness that I see in George is his passing. He gets so much attention he should be finding open teammates.

he's a late bloomer because the game is still relatively new to him.
he's only been playing organized ball for ten years! he didn't even play on any team until his freshman year in hs.

George's game has completely transformed over the last two or three seasons. He's gone from a kid with a lot of potential to this kid with a silky smooth stroke and handle. He's definitely proving the doubters wrong.
You think it's a coincidence he's been training with Kobe? When the Mamba retires he needs to train wing players ala Hakeem.

Dude's offensive-game reminds me a lot of TMac's. Great finisher, good handles, and has a solid pull-up. Smooth like Mac too. The only difference is he (PG) takes smarter shots.
