Will Cp3 be given another pass or is he out of passes?

People like you dont care what he does. You hate because you hate.

The same idiots hating on Lebron before he won are still doing it when he has 2 rings and 2 finals MVPS acting like 14 and 12ppg guys provided historically great help because of the name on their jersey and being great years ago.

Hating isnt results based. Its an issue with the person doing it.

Yes, he will be exposed as the overrated star who couldn't do it even with a great team.

Chris Paul has never made it past the second round. Lebron took a mdiocre team to the finals when he was 22 and is one of the ten best players of all time. I agree that there are people who will always blindly hate, but "hate" for Paul will be entirely justified if he fails yet again to make it past rounds 1 or 2.

How many NBA legends would win a title with Blake Griffin as the 2nd best player on the team?

CP3 could have made the NBA Finals if he played in the Eastern Conference for the past decade. No doubt about it.

The way you phrase it completely it ignores the fact that they have a very good back court supporting cast and a hall of fame coach. They had several good third options. Not to mention Griffin has played like a top 3 PF in the league thus far.

The Clippers have a deep back-court, but a pathetically shallow front-court. In the playoffs, rotations typically shorten to about 7 or 8 players.

CP3 / Collison
Redick / Crawford
Dudley / Barnes
Griffin
Jordan

That's their best 8 players. Feel free to sub any NBA legend in for CP3 and let me know what their title chances are.

This has been their MO for the last three years, and every offseason I wonder why the hell they dont go after a Millsap, a Landry, even a Bass. Those guys have been out there and available to either be signed or traded for. And every year they just keep adding more guards/wings or using their resources to replace departing ones. Seriously, look at the guys who have played for them the past three years: Paul, Billups, Bledsoe, Crawford, Reddick, Collison, Willie Green, Butler, Barnes, Hill, Odom, Dudley.

Its madness. All those name players, and not once did they ever parlay some of them into anything useful in the frontcourt. Ryan Hollins and BJ Mullins is all they have to show for it. That is literally a holy shit situation. Theyd have been better off hangin onto Reggie Evans and KMart, never understood why they let those two go when they werent replacing them with anything better.

The organization got gifted Chris Paul and they botched it. Serves him and them right tho. They'll fail together.

Might be waiting for Emeka if the Suns buy him out.

Clippers are a better team this year.

Blake Griffin has a mid-range shot, has shown some post moves. CP3 looks like his going for a 2nd career peak. Jordan is great on defense and rebounding. Clippers cast of JamaL Crawford, Dudley and JJ Redick gives them very capable scorer/shooters.

I believe at least 2nd round if not deeper this year.

Judgments of supporting casts are typically just hindsight. In other words, the only reason the Clippers don't "have a good enough supporting cast" to some people is because they have been swept and emberassed out of the playoffs each year. Same with NO when CP3 was there. If you work under the presumption that CP3 is the best point guard in the league (in terms of being best for a team's winning), then you would have to come to that conclusion. Everything changes once he makes a deep playoff run. IMO.

Current Bron

Let's see, a starting lineup of:

Pg: J.J Reddick
Sg: Crawford
Sf: Lebron James
Pf: Blake
C: DeAndre

That starting lineup could easily contend for the chip. That's an absolute beast frontcourt. Reddick and Crawford would be great to play off Bron as deadly shooters. Their defense would be vastly improved with Bron regulating it.

Realistically could toss quite a few players into this mix that would make them a better contender: Magic, prime Kobe, Durant, Tmac, very arguably a prime Nash/Payton/Kidd

The real issue with that team is their bigs. Blake and DJ have never shown up in the playoffs, and with the way they play I doubt they will this year. CP3 is a winner and warrior, anyone who watches basketball can see that.

Even tho I don't care much for his character, there's no question his game is legit.

But this is what you get when you have a message board full of retards that don't know BASKETBALL. They pick one player to represent each team and say "oh well the team did this, so i have this guy above that guy, and this guy is capable of doing this or that based on how his team did."

It's retard drivel. And sadly, 90% of posters actually rely on it because they have no other legitimate means of being active in a discussion. Rather than sit quietly and be thought to be an idiot, they open up their mouth and say "rings" and remove all doubt.

Which team is he beating? Billups' Pistons? Big 3 Celtics? Current Pacers? LeBron's Cavs? Yea, I don't see it.

For sure. You replace LeBron w/ CP3 and lets not act like he isn't winning multiple championships and MVP's too. The east has been THAT weak.

Unfortunate for the Clippers in the past two playoffs Griffin has been hurt. A healthy Griffin makes a difference. Jordan is showing more confidence thanks to Doc. The back up bigs is the problem. Someone needs to be added there.

That's why they went out and bolstered their frontcourt by acquiring... BJ Mullens. :applause:

Let's say you replace LeBron with CP3 against the Pacers. Who is going to have bang with the bigs for Miami if Bosh and Haslem are struggling? You think CP3 is going to have a 40 point 18 rebound 9 assist game against the Pacers?

Do you always bite Mark Twain quotes, or is it just something you do on basketball forums in an attempt to sound intelligent?

What's the general purpose of this thread? Are you saying he isn't a superstar? What is a superstar? Of course he isn't on Lebron's level of impact and he's certainly above any ordinary all-star selection. What pass are we giving him? Are you saying he isn't getting enough blame? When is it enough? What do people have to do to give enough blame to him? Whoooo wheeeeeere whaaaaat wheeeeen whyyyyyyyyyy?

It's not like people are giving him extra credit. He is who he is. A mean dude on the court with flopping abilities that had a great peak year. That's his resume until he goes deeper into the playoffs. Again, what's the pass?
